just read on our front pages that City fan Flintoff claims that he was apparently shot at while fielding on the boundary in Delhi in 2002. Surprised the caf hasnt heard about it, Our officials are obviously denying it, but i doubt hes lying.

Papers here seem to suggest that hes exaggerating it and doing it to promote his book thats releasing soon. God knows, but nothing like this has ever happened at an Indian ground.

Don't know about shootings, but Indian crowds are always chucking nasty objects at opposition players. I can recall Devon Malcolm having this sharp metal object thrown at him, it only missed by a few inches. In Jamshedpur or something. The other players had similar objects thrown at the them.

And you hate Flintoff. I hope you're banned for that.

And they started throwing all sorts of objects on to the pitch when they realised they were going to lose the 1996 world cup semi final.

"a stranger to the truth"... ;)

Seriously their probably starting a build up for the forthcoming series early, just an imagination in some reporters mind...Indians are a pretty gullible lot generally.

True, but its bound to happen, the love for the game here is something else really, and the crowds in those stadiums arent the most 'cultured'. Especially at the one in Delhi, awful stadium, very rowdy crowds.

As for Flintoff, God knows, lets see how this develops, i really doubt it happened, maybe he got mistaken, it was probabily just a cracker or something. BTW, Flintoff is not worth hating.

What bollocks...
He was shot at and kept quiet for so long?
Foriegn teams here make noises about smallest of things, if such a thing would have happened there is no way English team management would have even stayed to complete the series.

Na ah, Indians invented passive resistance, especially on the pitch, cue spinners.

A great man, history proves he made others shit in their "trousers".

it’s really tough even to make fun of Mr Ghandi.

It's not. Big gay Gandhi wears a nappy. See? Not hard. Really quite easy.

:boring:
Quite pathetic really, whats up with the Gandhi hatred? Or do spoony and slabber automatically hate everything Asian?

I knew he'd become a star. As good if not better than Botham.

Did anyone believe?

They all laffed.

IMO, his way better than Bothan, in both departments, would be the first name on a world eleven team as an all rounder. Botham in his era was not even the best all rounder.

Yes, I know. I've stated that I thought he was over rated(Botham). Imran's the best of all time. And I doubt Freddie will ever match him, but he's still a class player. Glad he plays for Lancs n'all.(well he does sometimes).
