Find Me A Small Laptop

Hmm, you'll have a tough time getting a 13" capable of playing FM09 for £500 mate.

If you're willing to spend the extra few bob I'd highly recommend the Dell XPS M1330. Best laptop I've ever had and it'll easily run FM09. It's very light as well.

If not, the Dell Inspiron 13" ain't a bad option, it's £200 quid cheaper than the XPS. It won't give you the same performance, battery life or durability but if you just want it for FM then it's probably perfect for you.

Inspiron 13"

Not sure about others, in my opinion most companies just don't make 13" Windows laptops as good as Dell do, I guess you could go for this Acer here, but check reviews before you do.

I might get the Inspiron 13. What's the best price you can get on the net, Mr CinCa?

Err, couldn't really tell you mate. Dell themselves probably, seeing as it's only new out.

I resent that C.

The C is cool.

£450 is the cheapest. Which seems a trifle too much, for what will essentially be a portable DVD player for me.

You've got a PM, btw. Rejoice.

Its a good solid laptop that, I was thinking of buying it. Nice graphics card. Seen it at currys for £469!

Looked at a few others and decided to go for a cheaper 15inch ACER 5920G. Same specs as that (4GB RAM, WIFI, HDMI etc) but without bluray and an ATI 3470 (lower spec graphics card but still okay). Got it for £400 plus £50 cashback - limited offer and great for the money vs spec.

I had no use for higher specs so I went for the cheaper one. Its an Acer though which worries me for the future as their build quality isn't all that good so I hope it doesn't break. HP's are meant to be good in that area along with Sony plus their extra year warranties hardly cost anything.

Weighs in at 3 Kg though.
