I got lucky in one of the 83x10 sbcs so i was able to finish him after spending a total of 300k i think. I started playing 4321 this weekend just to change it up abit. Balanced tactics with stay back defenders, 2 stay back cms and Zidane as a CM on get into box. 3 forwards on stay forward, central and get in behind. Its been working alright, lost my first game and then won 4 in a row.

With Zidane he's taken abit of getting used to, i now just triangle through ball with him to Al-Owairan at LF who i trigger runs with. Once Al-Owairan is level with the chasing defender i just press triangle and Zidane does the most beautiful through ball time and time again haha. I don't sprint with Zidane, i just let him craft passes and make runs for me to chip through balls to etc.

In the 4312 i would play him left cm or cam tbh, depends where your strength lies elsewhere. He's a good presence as a defensive cm but if you're like me you're gonna want him in attack, which is why i have Guendozi and Park as my defensive cms.

Also, i get loads of goals from corners with zidane. My routine is inswinging. You want the aiming line to aim at the penalty spot, the aim on the ball to be one point less than the "low inside foot" option. Literally when your going from the top of the ball down and the description changes then thats the spot. Then press L1 to choose the attacker in the box. Keep pressing L1 til you find. Zidane. Move him to the front post on the 6 yard line area. Full power it the corner and boshhh. Zidane goal :lol:

Highly recommend CAM. He is scoring and assisting more than my forwards and is the only one that can truly withstand the power curve creeping up. Brilliant player.
 
Opened loads of packs yesterday and did not notice Pires at all - not sure how? Definitely wasn’t a walk out.. anyway, he’s class.

Team looks terrific and that Pires design is gorgeous! What a card to pack!

Ran thru about 60+ packs. Best was IF Rashford. Probably should have waited for when all the TOTY cards were in packs. Did get enough fodder to do the hero pack and got WC Park who I'd been thinking of picking up so meh

Might have been at the back of a pack, for some reason EA don't always put promo cards as the face cards.
 
Decided to hop on FUT for whatever reason, did a daily login SBC and got the world Cup moments Pirlo and an 86 in form as my 2 players?? What a fecking pack :lol: they definitely up drop rates when you aren't on in a while

Had 82 packs left. Figured the TOTY mids is what I wanted the most, so feck it. Got Papin, few 88s, and maybe 200k worth of players to sell. Bit annoying though I didn't get anything from TOTY. Oh well. Could be worse.
 
It’s pretty much unlinkable but definitely doing that Bale SBC. Insane value!

That's obscene. Congrats! The TOTY Icons might be my favorite design of these cards ever.

I do wonder if there is anything to the drop rates and account activity. I've also seen something about opening packs while you have a bronze or silver squad active. Considering I somehow packed prime Maldini from the 88+ icon SBC just now there might be something to that as well. Buzzing.

Looks an insane card and for sure great value. Have a ton of fodder from saved TOTY packs too so I'm going for it
 
Just started playing again and even though it's said most years I honestly think this is one of the worst for online. The pace abusing is absolutely insane and the lack of AI movement and sense is probably as bad as it's been in recent Fifa's. I think it's not helped by how accessible so many cards are nowadays.
 
Wasn’t impressed with Bale so stuck him in the icon SBC - got 89 Beckham (already have his 87) :lol:
 
Kind of in limbo at the moment as I want to create a United past and present. Only have prime Rooney, hero OGS and baby Best at the moment however. Well also mid Schweinsteiger I guess. Waiting for some good SBCs but it's been pretty flat lately and I don't want to do the roulette really.

Been playing squad battles and avoiding rivals because I'm bored of my current team.
 
Can't get myself to play this game. Huge waste of money. Exactly the same feeling gameplay wise as last year. I see absolutely no changes apart from the setpieces. Extremely boring to play. Have to say that I have always played career mode only.

I'm in exactly the same place, think i'm going for all icon/hero team have a decent enough base with Cech, Maldini and WC Blanc (who is actually class) have WC Govou and WC Cahill but neither are main stays. Got a stupid amount of fodder and loads of packs ready for Friday but might start that Sanchez he looks good. On your United P&P apparently Pogba is coming could be a good addition.

Hes great so far. Always scoring for me. Have him in the 4222 form paired up with Ronaldo. 5 games 7 goals and 6 assists. Really good at finding the space to finish his shots.

Released today but boy is he expensive and how do I even link him? Blanc and who else? Varane perhaps but still not good enough links for him for that price. Torn.

Yeah he's a skip for me. Looks good but Alonso is supposedly the next icon sbc so will do him instead. I know they're not like for like but he'll do a job.

I'm going to do him anyway, in time I can hopefully play Varane, Blanc and some version of Cantona which should give Pogba some chem with a French Serie A manager. Got to start somewhere!
 
Did the icon SBC again, this time got 88 Veron :lol: He went straight intothe Pogba SBC.

Got bored and did it too, got WC Cech. Would be good if I didn't do the 91 Cech..... Oh well chucked the 91 into Sanchez 88 team so not a big loss.
 
I want to replace normal Kante but dunno who's better. Need him be fast enough to be everywhere and solid overall. Thinking Bruno G or Zakaria, heard Case is great too. Any suggestions?upgraded Kante is too expensive for me.

Not been able to get on w smaller DMs this year.

PTG Bruno G is good. Casemiro, even gold, is phenomenal because of the lengthy mechanics and his size. Seems the reason why a not 90+ Yaya and Vieira are seen as the best midfielders. I'm hoping Case gets a TOTS honorable mention or I'd go w his WC card.

I already have the earned Vera from the objectives but he’s only a cm. Can’t change him to cdm, he’s unreal. trying a 41212. Yaya is too costly aswel. I might try the 91 Casemiro with 76 pace. He looks like a good fit.
Never mind, he’s not even a cdm ffs!

Assume you want a prem DM? There's a objective available for Gundogan who looks decent has a good pace split, very good dribbling and decent defending. His stam is low though but at worse he's 88 fodder.

I've been slumming it using untradeables until i've opened my packs but if you need a impact sub IF Kemen has been ridiculous for me. Been using him and SBC Bellegarde as DM in a 4222 and they're literally everywhere. On another note though WC Govou is dead, no idea why that card is 500k.

Yeah I need a prem cdm since it’s seems like the best link chem wise. Also might pick up Bruno G for the cm position. Looks good Dan his stamina is nice.

Haha yeah I changed my formation to all CMs to incorporate Case. I can't understand why they wouldn't give him that position.

I think Xabi Alonso TOTY icon is going to be released as an SBC today as well which could be a good option

What base formation are you using and what's your team? Probably could adjust things to get everyone in; I'd be happy to help mate

just brought Bruno G to try for cm. Might lookto change Kante. Any player will do as long at it can be full chem. Been playing too long with 30 chem for ages.

Have you thought about Lisandro Martinez WC phenom? Fairly affordable and looks like an excellent CDM.
 
My mostly untradeable squad. Only Dzeko, Casemiro, Licha and Dalot are tradeable. Been shockingly lucky with pack pulls from objectives. Used fodder in my squad to make Bale and Rooney, only had to buy 1 86 rated player for Rooney. the CB next to Licha is Ledley King, not sure why it doesn't show up.

Nice team, I think I'm 3 matches scoring with a French player away from pulling my Emi Martinez, who will replace my WW Butland.
 
On the last checkpoint of division 2 after struggling for ages to get out of division 3 :lol:. Think i won 5 in a row in div 2 with a x2 form boost, so might even go straight up.

Had unbelievable pack luck on Monday by getting TOTY Modric out of the midfielders x3 83+ sbc. Opened it on my phone and my eyes nearly popped out of my head when i saw the blue and gold confetti :lol:. Not sure if he's worth the 1.3m he is worth on the market but he's fun to use.
