Won the first on penalties after a close game
He won the second 2 - 1 I think
I won the third 4 - 0 with him getting 2 players sent off

Second was a 1-0 to me.

In fairness you dominated that game, hit the post 3 times, and my goal came from a penalty.

I'd say I edged the first game though, I played some pretty tidy stuff in that game, just couldn't put away my chances.

Third game was a rout. Seemed to be getting booked for every challenge and had 2 defenders sent off!

Good games though:D

Yeah you did better first game, I was all over the place.
Second game was annoying :lol: woodwork 3 times
Third game as you said was a bit mad.
 
has anyone played both the new fifa and pes yet? just wondering if pes s going to make a come back this season or if i should go pick up fifa in the morning?
 
The diehard PES fans are sticking with it, majority said the demo was an improvement but still not a patch on fifa

It's a steaming pile of turd, still a rubbish PS2 port. If you want a game for the PC get Pro Evo, it's the same as the consoles.

Really enjoyed the game last night. Played some Be A Pro offline and online and started a season in Manager mode.

Playing the Be A Pro online was good - although there is a mad scramble for positions once the captains have chosen the teams!

A few people had mics and all you heard was swearing and tutting when it was only the CBs left to choose from! :lol: Will be much better in Club mode where the positions are allocated in a more orderly manner!

The online BAP mode is actually much closer to FIFA 08's offline mode. You have the same position indicator that tells you where you should be, and the bar at the bottom of the screen that reflects your performance (so it goes down for missed tackles, bad positioning etc).

I think this gives more clarity for the performance ratings after the match, although if you play in midfield and make a run into the box, you often get penalised in terms of being out of position the second your team loses possession.

As for the gameply in BAP online, I have noticed that one danger is players getting too close together and making it very congested in the middle of the park. The BAP camera angle seems to be further away as well - although I haven't tried changing this yet.

All in all really enjoyed 09 and looking forward to 11:30!

Just popped down to Blockbuster but they wern't open, but that offer is defintaely on, saw it advertised.

I cancelled my order from play.com because they hadn't even dispatched it today and i wanted it for today. Got it from Game in the end and have just loaded it up :drool:

A question: I have downloaded the latest patch for the Premiership on that Adidas live season, is it possible to resort back to the old stats for the players of is this permanent now. Not that i'm bothered either way.

Am going to try and join the RedCafe team thing now too. Have fun
 
just played this guy(werden bremen). seriously nut case, got 3 red cards during the game. Beat him 3-0, should have been more, but was feeling sorry for him.lol
 
We (our staff) bought out all our copies of Fifa 09 before it went on the shelf. :lol:

Good game. Although like Fifa 08 late in its life, when I go to play online all the buttons are unreponsive and It won't let me go any further than the "select teams" screen. Any ideas on whats going on?
 
me and my mates went from the uni pub to tescos at about 10 past 12 to get our copies.

30 quid well spent, this game is the fecking tits
 
Been playing it all this morning.

WOW, this game is brilliant. This is the closest you'll get to real football in computer game.

I could feel the difference between the full game and the demo instantly. The shooting seems improved, the passing has been tweaked, the graphics look shaper and there are some new animations. Well done EA...
 
This game is a bloody masterpiece!

The ball physics shit on anything before it, twatting a loose ball in the area so hard that it cannons off the post and spins back onto the pitch then hits the ground and spins off it is amazing to see.
 
Is there a way to stop it looking for squad updates every time I try to play online?
