Can't recommend this enough, the 4231 is extremely solid defensive wise and you can create enough opportunities going the other way.
I have baby Stoichkov… His finishing is great but overall I don't think I want him anymore. What are my options to get rid? I don't have a lot of coins but could someone tell me how to use him in a way to upgrade or whatever?

I think the only decent option you have is to trade him in as the required icon in the prime icon SBCs. You’ll get a 100k pack for him and doing the rest of that icon SBC will be a lot cheaper.
Don't even have enough to do that, most icons are about 1 mil. Wouldn't mind Kluivert though, he looks alright.
Kluivert costs 1.1m, submitting Stoichkov brings the price down by 335k. You can probably get him if you grind for a month or two. Baby Stoichkov doesn’t look very good so I’d submit him just for the 100k pack. Who knows, you might get lucky.
He has actually been ok for me, but again.. versus the better players he just isn't up to speed. He gets bullied. I wont slate him too much he served me well ha!I cant get rid of him yet as I cant replace him just yet
Wingers are easy to come by, so think it would be best getting a ST icon if possible. I seen someone on here submit their baby icon the other day and the packed a load of crap.
May as well wait until you've got the coins to do an SBC, few weeks of saving should get you a decent one.
Im in the same boat with Vieri, gonna take me ages to save up to do another icon sbc. I have Ibra, prime owen, and Untradeable middle Gullit, so its impossible to play him upfront and CAM he’s just useless.

Haha EA caught you by the bullocks giving you Gullit. Reeled back in like a big salmon! I could do the mid icon upgrade if I sold most of my players but I would flip if I got a GK or something
He’s so good aswell, he’s elevated my game so much by the ball just sticking to him and him winning everything in the air. My last two games he scored injury time winners and he’s on a goal a game, granted I’ve only played about ten games with him, but that’s at CAM too.
Not sure how much coins you have but if Willian SBC is still available... do it. He has over a goal a game with me playing LAM. Every game in FUT champs. Would fit nicely with your Gullit in the middle.

But damn, seems like they’ve changed it back to the way it was in previous fifas where a lot of people were in div 1, instead of the normal distribution that it has been so far where the majority would be in div 5. Back when I got promoted to div 1 in october I think the requirement was around 2400 in skill rating. I’m back to the formation I played in the first month or so in FIFA 19 which is 4-4-1-1 with a CF and a ST.
In all my ‘great’ tactic/formation combos a key element has been pressing high and ‘choking’ the opponent so most of the action is in his half. I’m managing to do that in pretty much every game in rivals, and I’ve played 13 games after switching so it works consistently too.
If anyone is keen on trying I’ve got the perfect tactics for it. An interesting element is that I’m playing my striker as a false 9 and my CF is instructed to get in behind. So they basically keep switching positions which makes them very dynamic. You’d think that a LM/RM won’t be involved very much due to being too deep, but that isn’t the case. In fact I like their offensive positioning better than LCAM and RCAM in 4231. It makes no sense that 4411 is the best formation for me, and I don’t really understand how I’m able to completely dominate almost every game with this formation and not other formations. But it works and that’s all I care about

Who are your CMs? Think they need to be brilliant all rounders for this to work
I played him in the PS4 league, and it definitely works. His CF and ST both ended up dropping into midfield, making a 4-6-0 in defence that transitioned into a 4-2-4 in attack. Almost impossible to get through the middle, and going wide leaves your wingers isolated and you end up having to pass backwards again or try risky passes

I think hes unreal, hes an absolute unit when people come near him! I prefer him from the right but I don't really fancy any of the others as main Striker. If I could swap Stoichkov for a decent icon ST I would be sorted

Packs are so fecking shit this year. I think they’ve lowered the odds of getting anyone decent because you can open more packs with Rivals.
Every week I finish Gold 1 and I get nobody. In the past 10 weeks I’ve opened 20 of those rare jumbo packs, that’s 480 rare gold players in 2 million coins worth of packs. I don’t think I’ve gotten a player worth more than 30k.

I’ve opened ∞ packs and the Lewandowski I packed today is the second most expensive tradable player I’ve packed (and I always pick tradable rewards). Yesterday I saw a guy on Reddit comment that he has packed TOTY Marcelo, TOTY Neymar, another TOTY player I can’t remember who was and prime or mid Raul. And he didn’t buy any of the packs he got them from. Pisses me off how some people are so lucky and others are the exact opposite. I get that it can be random at times, but it’s clear to everyone and their dog that EA manipulate the odds so that they’re different for different accounts.

Too true. And anytime I think I’m getting somebody is turns out to be some nobody Brazilian/Spanish CB/GK. I barely ever pack attacking players worth anything. People need to start realizing the actual odds of these packs, in all reality 90% of the time you will pack absolute garbage regardless of what it when you open.

This is my gripe with it. Games aren't enjoyable the more I win. I get Messi and Ronaldo'd every time I get into the top divisions and getting relegated means losing a load of games which will piss me off.
My record was something like 52 - 3 - 2 before I got into Division 1.
