Are the Christmas squad builder challenges over? Just seen they had a red Van Dijk.
 
I despise this game. 2-1 down and couldn’t get the ball for basically the whole second half cause he was just time wasting. Finally manage to get one chance and equalise in the 90th minute and then he scores from kick off. Cosmic.

Nice! You're very welcome mate. His record for me is something ridiculous like 79 goals and 20+ assists in 85 games 83 goals & 44 assists in 89 games (edit after checking) - twenty-odd most recent appearances off the bench which hasn't adversely affected his numbers.

Last WL was just shite for me, was busy all weekend so started my games whilst knackered late Sunday night. I was 16wins 7losses at one point, but was just outa gas at this point - winning 1 of the next 5 and ran out of time chasing the last win (to auto qualify) come 7am. Goes without saying I went to bed AN ANGRY MAN-CHILD.

But this week will be different (possibly not). I won the DKT without much hassle and bought some packs :wenger:

And it seems I've come across a bit of a cheat... Pogba wound up taking my corners due to a change in personnel, usually I'd want him in the box... but 4 out of 4 corners taken by the bastard has turned into goals so far :lol:
 
Has anyone tried Bergkamp yet? Did the loan SBC but I just can’t get used to him. Won my first 4 games on WL and he’s only scored 2 out of the 14ish goals.
 
Had a fairly good start. 12-4. No doubt my usual second round of games will see me struggle to get to 18 wins.
 
Not even bothered playing this week. Ain’t worth my time playing 40 games.

The grind simply isn’t worth it imo. I could probably get maybe 20 wins a week but is it really worth me playing all those games just for a few red cards. I don’t think so :lol:

Last week was my first and last weekend league.

Why? Why should I waste my weekend on this crap. I work hard and very rarely get weekends off, no chance I’m playing this shit when I could be doing better things with my time.

I recognise that I’m not really at a level where I think the rewards would be worth it so for me there is simply no point in persevering with it.
 
I’ve finally had enough now as well. Played 16 won 10 so not doing bad I just can’t be arsed to play anymore at all.

I rarely find that the people with icons are particularly better, so I still enjoy it. Icons kind of rev me up for a challenge :)

Yeah, it does take some commitment to get to that point. I am kind of questioning my priorities, but I'm currently hoarding packs for TOTY, then I'm doing a blow-out with those and my monthlies before I either go "yay, that was worth it, now I can ease up", or "feck this noise, I've got Horizon Zero Dawn waiting". Last push, for me :)

In previous FIFA’s I’ve usually stopped playing by Christmas too, feels like such a grind to build a half decent side and it sucks the fun out the game unless you’re bothered to put in the hours and trade - feck that. Always end up coming back round to it though!

So this year I spunked £240 on packs (seeing as I don’t really play any other game so why not) and the extra coins have definitely made it more playable - though sinking that kinda money in to a game you’ll eventually stop playing can feel dumb..just gotta ignore that bit ha

Just reached gold 3 with 15 games to go. Hoping I don’t choke and finish gold 1, got the man flu so cba with NYE this year.

Trying to form a hybrid out of La Liga and PL. Basically trying to build team around Messi, Prime Hernandez and Pogba. Been going with 4-3-3 but not a huge fan, so trying to find chem using the 4-3-3 (4) - just so many links which is annoying. Before packing Modric my team was:

Navas

Carvajal Varane Bailly Shaw

Kroos Pogba De Bryune

Messi Hernandez Martial

As I said, not a fan and I want to try and get Modric involved.
I also think Hernandez is better when he has a strike partner, just not sure who to pair him up with.
 
Wow, so in 2 Mega Packs the best I got was some 82 rated keeper from SerieA. feck this game.
 
I've given up on squad battles for this reason. I also believe the more you play the worse your pack luck is.
 
I haven't been playing the squad battled for 3 weeks now. Too much effort against terrible handicap almost every game with zero good rewards.
 
I done that tradeable TOTW squad builder challenge, gave up IF Okazaki and a cheap IF card j bought, aswell as 30k’ish worth of players...... and i pack IF Chopu-Moting who is immediately worth a huge 12k.

What a fecking waste. Won’t be doing that again. Could have just bought him ffs.

Thats the risk we take. Could have packed Kane or Aguero.

I have around 5 packs left, will keep them for the new IF team on Wednesday, hope to pull out Dybala or Willian, would be worth the investment (think they will both get an IF)
 
Not really played fifa in awhile, I thought I try to Qualify For WL this week.....needless to say I didn’t, I swear to god I was playing top100 players in each final.

since then in online seasons I have smashed teams with loads of red monthly cards in them.

How can this be? One guy had a red Alexis Sanchez, red Pogba and red De Gea, so I’m guessing he’s an elite 1-2 level player. Beat him 4-1 and he rage quit.
 
Played a bit last night for first time in ages. Packed normal Suarez which was bitchin, major improvement on Benzema.

Got Lozano too in the tradable SBC, he’s pretty sweet as a sub.
 
Expect some interesting players in tomorrows TOTW. Dybala, Hamsik, Willian, Alli, Salah. Pogba and Alexis would be nice too.

The only thing keeping me on it are the improved teams i make with the special cards. PL and Serie A being my focus

Did that happen last year? Would be surprised if they gave out a free pack, doesnt sound like EA. Did them all too, best player i packed in all of them was Benzema.

Apparently but it doesn’t look all that likely this time. Got IF Pjanic so not too bad, everything else was rammel.
 
TOTY needs to be dropped so I can open my bloody packs. Got 54 of them waiting as I’ve been delaying gratification for over a month now!
