To be fair I think they have cracked down hard on coin buyers. But the rewards from FUT champs make it easier to get the better players. I've pulled some good players from the weekend league so in that sense they have made it better for the average joe.

Its not really, you need a team of informs or high quality golds if you want to do anything, I'd say 4/5 times I get to a final I play against a team of legends or informs.
tbh they tend to be poor and I take pleasure in outplaying them, but when everyone of their players can out muscle/run everyone of my players it makes it difficult.
Wish they'd have a lower star league like they used to
This time of year most players have in forms or built up enough coins for the odd legend players. However the way Fifa is run you can build cheap teams and still compete. Eg. Martial plays better then Messi. Smalling plays like Maldini.
Cant argue with that, I played the draft a couple times for novelty and picking Messi is rookie mistake!
My silver Rb owns Messi and I was through on goal with Caudrado the other day and Smalling managed to catch him despite having a 10 yard head start ha

I had 7 games to win 2 matches to get into Gold 2 and I somehow didn't.. it was a mixture of me getting worse cos I had been playing for so long, playing against really good players and feeling like the game had just turned on me.
Also, out of the 40 games I reckon I had a better team around 5 times which was annoying.
Just two questions! I'm guessing Gold 3 is pretty shit? Like two mega packs and a rare players pack.. I'm assuming that'll do very little for me. And also, do you not get your reward for a whole week? That's bogus.

Gold 3 youll get 30k coins and probably around 40k or so from the packs if you sell everything. Gold 2 would be 45k coins and around 45k I think from packs. The biggest difference is the coin diff but both are good. You get rewards thursday.

On 25 - 10 after a shocking run. Should have turned it off hours ago but haven't got much time tomorrow so decided to try and cram. Need 4 wins from 5 to make elite, when really I should have been getting elite 2 at least after my start.
Changed from my 2 teams to make them into a hybrid.

What is handicapping, if I may ask?
I really struggle with putting wins together on this game. If I win 2/3 in a row I am guaranteed to lose 2 on the bounce straight after.
I swear the more you win the harder people you play, or the worse your team feels. Some games my players feel like they should, others they are running in treacle and not making any forward runs.
Don't know how some of you guys go like 10 wins in a row

Yeah I'm pretty sure someone confirmed that further back on here.
You play people based on your skill points I believe.
So putting 5 wins together will make you play better people whereas losing 5 will take you down to the lower skilled players
Some people on here are clocking up insanely good records.. Very envious! I can put a winning streak together of like 5 wins in a row but when it goes south it goes very south and I can lose just as many on the bounce.
The worst games for me are when you attack and it feels like no one is making runs or even supporting the attack at all, and then when you lose the ball the opposition somehow have like a 3 vs 2 scenario on the break and you're just left wondering where your players are..

Yep, exactly this. I don't get how people can go 40 wins zero losses, it's like they aren't effected by this?. I am no means the best Fifa player but I always hold my own, but sometimes it feels like you're playing with your arms tied behind your back. How do they not get this scenario happening to them? I often wonder if internet connection speed plays a huge part. Whenever I've watched people stream and they are game after game they have zero lag at all.
Makes sense, I just wish the game felt the same every match. I feel more goes against me when I'm on a winning roll

I was thinking he might just not have enough games left to make it to the next level so decided to give some people wins or else maybe it's something to do with getting his players fit again, which seems a bit stupid.

Wtf, WL is extended, my first match, it was as if the game play was one superspeed and every long shot I tried went in, keepers just powerless, guy rage quited. Feels weird.
Yeah but I used to finish gold monthly every time and be miles off elite so didn't really matter. Lately I've been getting elite so I haven't gifted anyone wins in a while.
Just made elite with my last game. Had to use training cards to make sure but the last 4 games went quite simply to be honest which I really wasn't expecting.
They really need to make some changes to the weekend league in Fifa 18. Reducing it to 20 matches and banning training cards would be the two I'd like to see but there's no chance of either happening.

Think I've played 10 games this weekend after doing like 11 last weekend. Just feels so stale after doing 4 weekends in a row in march. Maybe need like a complete revamp - kits, stadium, teams, etc. Though I sold my serie a team for a mixed side and I miss my serie A side already so maybe that isn't the thing I need

Whopping 9-1 victory to clinch elite 3, can still get elite 2 but I prefer some sleep. Lost just two matches this entire weekend, hope my bro is in better form the next one and challenge for elite 2/1.

Yeah no arrogance but Im quite a good player, I use 41212 but the wide one, no custom tactics or anything, too lazy. So just play full attack and rely on my strong defence and I can defend well in the game too. Decided to challenge for elite 2 though, need 2 out of 3 now. But facing insane teams atm.

Serie A has a nice team, make sure you get Sandro, Manolas, Florenzi/Peres, Naingollan, A Gomez in form, Cuadrado and Dybala/Perisic/Icardi/Insigne, or Germany with IF Dembele, Reus, Sanches, Vidal/Keita, Pisczeck and Sokratis, depending on momey left you can add a few OP players.
IF Muriel and 86 Gomez with Dybala just behind worked great for me, you could pick them all up for about 250k on PS4.

I noticed in the next WL they have restricted it to 3x training cards which is fair i guess.

Yep i concur. I always seem to struggle against these teams. They are soooo over powered.
Didn't like him personally. Very sluggish but he has a massive physical presense. I much prefer 87 Casemiro who can get around the pitch much quicker.
I use 86 N'Zonzi and he's probably a little bit worse than I borrow but both have that massive physical presence which you'll need against some of the better players. 87 Casemiro might be a good shout though but I don't know how he compares in the air?
I always need at least 2 or 3 players that are insane in the air otherwise if the opponent has them players they will just exploit that weakness.
