Sony basically screwed up our first attempt so we need to start over. I will accept up to 24 people in the league and please, do not sign up for this if you are going to end up not playing your games anyway. If we end up with 20+ players, we will only play each other once, if there's less then there'll be return legs. Rules will be similar to the ones applied in the previous league, i.e. only use your team once etc. There will only be ONE cup competition here and everyone will take part in that.

A few people who participated in original one, the ones who have played their games and took interest in the tournament, have first refusal on this, I've chosen:

So 21 players, obviously some of them won't take part in this, but currently there are 3 slots left for new players, no more than that.

First refusals expire on 10/06/2011, a simple Yes or No belowe will suffice. People who don't respond lose their place and will have to sign up like the rest.

If I've missed someone who played 3+ games in the previous tournament, then please let me know and I'll put you there.

Competition starts on 13/06/2011 but you'll be free to play games before then, if two players sign up even today, they can play each other no problem.

Can't play. Will be working 4 of the next 5 weeks so my only free time this summer won't be spend much on FIFA sadly.
 
I can play, but would like some adjustment to the rules on how many games per week, as it became difficult to get games later in the week as people had used all there's up.

I can lift the upper limit altogether, no need for that during vacation period when people will presumably go missing for one or two weeks in a row and would like to get their games played earlier. The bottom limit will go up though as I'd like to get this finished sooner rather than later.
 
I regret to have to say that I won't be able to participate in this - got a job which is taking up all my time at the moment, so won't be around to do this.

I can post on the caf but not play FIFA seeing that I'm @ work and don't have my ps3 with me. My work makes me wait around a lot so there's plenty of time to post.
 
I'm gonna have to bow out Sarni, i don't come on the caf often enough to be able to keep up with the goings on and i've got to that stage of the year where i fall out of love with FIFA.
 
Can't play either, starting exams now and I'm almost in vacation from the cafe as well.

Thanks for putting this up again but I'll offer my place to someone else.
 
We are still awaiting responses from four people, I think we will be starting this on Sunday.

Four people with first refusals haven't responded, I will send out a memo to them later today, but we can start rolling already and if they join within the next week, they will keep on playing. We are going to have at least one newbie joining in, perhaps two (I am awaiting a confirmation from the second player), which shouldn't be a probme because arthurka has already played with us and he has been one of the most reliable players in the competition which proves that newbies can play the game.

Basic rules are as follows:
1) You can use a team with a maximum quality of 4.5 stars but each team can only be used once by a certain player. Both club teams and internationals are allowed. If you have used the same team again and lost, result stands anyway. If you have used the same team again but drew or won, the result is scrapped and you have to play again but only with a team rated at least half a star lower than team you used initially.
2) Games should be 8 minutes a half long.
3) Players should play each other ONCE in this tournament. There is no home advantage in FIFA11 so ground on which game is played is not important.
4) Game weeks start on Monday, and players should play at least one game in each week, unless they are having a trip or simply a busy schedule but it is reccommended that they inform of it beforehand. There will be points deductions for people who repeatedly ignore the competition.
5) Places are decided by points, then goal difference, then goals scored. If two players are tied on all of above, the result of direct game between them is decisive. A play off shall be played in case of a draw in the said game.

Scrapped an 1-goal victory after a solid defensive performance, two goals from Ibrahimovic put me 2-0 up in the second half but TheGame pulled one back with an 80th minute header from Mario Gomez.

For some reason I had the old squad with Ronaldinho instead of Cassano but it didn't really work to my advantage seeing as I prefer the latter with my formation. If someone notices Torres when they play Liverpool though, please look into it, we are supposed to play new squads.

Good game mate, bit dissapointed to concede the 2nd goal, wasn't expecting the cross to come in. very close game, I thought, competitive in midfield.
 
Sarni (Juventus) 2-1 redspoony (Aston Villa)

Another defensively solid performance from me, I went 2-0 up early in the game with goals from Del Piero and Sissoko, spoony pulled one back in the second half from the spot, he dominated the late part of the game but my defence held out and earned me another precious victory. 6 points from 2 games. :devil:
 
Because the games are unranked you have to make sure you have the new squads downloaded yourself.
