FF's FM15 Player Experiment

Down in value due to not playing, glad to see I'm weighing up leaving. Appointed under 20s Netherlands vice captain so won't be long until the big stage comes.

Ifeck is already a seasoned pro but I guess you'll get there soon enough.

My man is a phenom highest rating in the Italian/ any league at 8.29, he properly gets spurred on from everyone laughing at his name.

More or less developed into a very good player. Not sure if he can win titles with Sampdoria. They seem to have regressed a bit in Seria A, and it is very hard to compete with Juve.
:smirk:

Well, Swagguinetti moved on again to Napoli now. Got 4 full international caps for Argentina too. Just needs to break into the Napoli team somewhat though, not played for them yet!

Not going well for Humpalot... struggling to get games for Southampton who have been relegated is not a good sign. You'd think that someone would come along and buy a seasoned Croatian international left back, but it seems not :(

My guy is awesome now, shame it looks like he'll be stuck at Spurs forever.

Hey @Damien how is your guy doing lol?

In 2019:

Brian Potter was named Championship Young Player of the Month for December
Brian Potter was named in Championship Team of the Week
Jimmy was named in Ireland Seasonal Best XI (meh)
Jimmy had 910 minutes on pitch per goal he scored compared to 259 for Brian Potter
Jimmy had 684 minutes on pitch per assist compared to 333 for Brian Potter
Jimmy's worst rating was 6.5 compared to 6.9 for Brian Potter
Jimmy ran an average of 7.3km per match compared to 8.1km for Brian Potter
Jimmy made 39 tackles compared to 77 for Brian Potter

boom bitch

My lad is quality, full Italian international at twenty. He needs to move though, as he doesn't appear to be dislodging Joe f*cking Hart. No doubt he'll kick up a fuss soon, the headcase.

Also @Damien those minutes per goals/assist are bugged seeing as I've more goals and assists than you (In the Premier League mate, not the Championship) in the same number of games.

Where did Sheffield Wednesday finish that season?

Was it a wise decision to make Messi the captain, though? Getting your loanee thug to be in charge of your team is an interesting idea. A rating of 6.45 suggests the captaincy sadly went to his head.

Pretty unusual to have a loanee become the captain. Wonder if that's ever actually happened.

20th. Avoided relegation by 5 points

:O for some reason I didnt get any alerts from this thread so didnt see yesterdays update until now, sorry!

Still sitting around at Chelsea on the fringes of the first team. Bloody annoying, but 11 apps so far this season isnt TOO bad. Still, I felt from day 1 that moving to such a big club so early was a mistake. In previous experiments I have always done best when moving to a mid-low end PL team initially, then making the big move a few seasons later.

Got a new contract but only £16k pw which isnt anything special.

@Flying Fox could you tell me who Chelseas first choice CBs are? Or just a screenshot of the squad. I am curious to see how old they are and thus what my chances of breaking through are going to be.

Already Ireland captain, but I think my injury proneness is really high for some reason. Always seem to be injured.

Sokratis and Eliaquim Mangala, backed up with Chalobah and Knoche have been your biggest impediments.

Cheers. Was going to say I would be shocked if it was still JT keeping me out of the side. Got rid of Cahill as well though? How curious.

Why do we no longer do a RedCafe team rather than players scattered around? Get the concept here, but having a Caf side in the EPL/CL was quite fun. I was a fecking sub :( I'm sure @Stobzilla was a player in it as well.

@Waldner started one with a RedCafe team but abandoned it some months ago.

'Some months ago'?! I've not updated it for a while as quite frankly, the updates took ages to write out and it was only the same 4/5 people even bothering to reply to it. I'll be getting FM15 soon so can do another one then, or continue the current one, but the interest dropping off properly disappointed me.

@antohan yeah I had one running where I replaced Fleetwood Town with a Redcafe team with the players as the youth team. Didn't work too great as a concept as they all jumped ship within a season or two. It could perhaps work as a PL team though. If the players aren't moving around etc then I think it could lose a little of the excitement for the posters involved. That may just be me though

I really liked your updates. Only solution I can think of is to ban Cina from the next experiment you do. Win/win for all involved.

Yeah, I can see how replacing a minor team is an issue with these later FM versions and players being cnuts. We did have one going, at least five years ago, and I think we started in the Championship. People got very much into it and there was loads of banter on the performance stats, who scored/assisted most, etc.

Put me down for a non-nonsense CB/DM spot.

Is there not an option to disable transfers?

Good enough development and ratings, just need more game time.
