Sassy Colin
Death or the gladioli!
If you can't beat 'em, join 'em
Yeah he's been chest and shoulders above everybody else today

...for him to re-sign.
I can see that some fans are squirming and in great anguish that he still has time to re-sign with us.
I look at it more pragmatically. We need a Plan B and he is excellent at that. Jose just needs to resist starting him, though. The Arsenal game exemplifies this.
Wasnt it Rashford promoted out of desperation with injuries? Then Rashford shown Rooney up as a striker, leading to his public claims now being a midifelder
A decent plan B he is, but he's plagued too many starting XI's over the years and turned in so many abject performances. I'm more excited at the prospect of someone replacing his minutes in the team, whether that's a new signing or not....for him to re-sign.

I still say that bringing on Fellaini and Martial on at the same time at around the 60th minute can unlock a stubborn defence. I witnessed this when we scored 3 goals in 10 minutes, after these 2 were introduced and it was like taking candy from a baby.
Rival defences don't know what to expect when you bring on 2 players who are complete opposites.
Fellaini is also a great option to have if we are losing a physical battle on the pitch.
Put it another way: I'd rather go into a tough game, knowing that he is on bench, than him not being available.
His goal against Arsenal was his first (in 5 years) coming on as a late sub in a game we were chasing. So i would hardly say he is excellent as a plan B.
It's not just about him scoring though is it, for example he caused Liverpool mayhem in their box when Zlatan got the late goal against them season before last
But yeah while he's here Jose may be tempted to start him ala Sevilla and no one wants that so let him leave
Why is anyone bothered?
I think most on here, want him to leave. But are worried that he will re-sign in the next few days.
If he re-signs, I can see there being a meltdown in this thread, which should be amusing.
Please don't even suggest it as a possibility
He screwed himself cause apparently we already offered him new contract before he got injured. Remember Jose said it to him that he should just sign , cause i guess he got reduced term after his knee injury. With his injury problems last season we probably offered him wages that's based heavily on appearances, similar to what Ibra supposedly had last season before he left. And in the fact that it's likely one year with the usual option of one additional year the club can trigger, and I can understand him wanting a more stable contract elsewhere.
Watch him play the piano next week
Imagine the scenes if the day before his contract expires he realises nobody is going to give him what he's asking for, and he accepts the renewal offer. Would make me pig-sick to be honest.
That suit had me thinking how much he must really love the dosh. The whole claim was a massive stretch, and to sue for that amount was just..He lost his case against New Balance whom he blamed for his accidental kicking the s### out of people, except Aguero of course who needs a good kicking, so he’s strapped for cash. No offers yet. It may depend how Belgium do in the WC.
Good riddance after his cheeky attitude regarding renewing.
Oaf should praise himself lucky to ever have played for Manchester United.
Can any of the Fellaini "plan b" advocates prove statistically that sending him on / moving him upfront has been any more advantageous than the defending team bringing on a different defender. The tw*t is good for plan B. Just don’t like the way he’s gone about his contract. If he agrees to stay, offer him less!

I'm sure that the number of late "own goals" we have benefited from down the years will outscore the Belgian hatstand.
So I'm wondering if in similar situations we would be better off convincing the opposition to bring on a defender who we might ping a goal off, rather than depend on Fellaini's poor showing.

If he's chasing more paper he will be a United player by the start of next season. No one is going to offer him anything close to what we have. Nothing even China like he suggested
Scenes at United when Fellaini and Young remain important players at the start of the next campaign
