I am so happy for him. He'll finally be playing in a league that plays his level of football.
A bit like Oscar, Hulk, Ramires, Witsel, Lavezzi, Jackson Martinez et al you mean ?

What more do you think he should have done? He might not be up to the standard we desire from utd players, but that's not his fault. He didnt sign himself, he didn't pick the team when he played. He was asked to do a job by whatever manager we had, and did it to the best of his ability. Does any player deserve abuse from their own fans for just not being as good as we want him to be?

I have a feeling that fellaini is moving to china because no one wants him
Jackson Martinez couldn't quite cut it in China and is on loan at Portimense in Portugal until his contract with Guangzhou expires after managing 10 league games in four yearsA bit like Oscar, Hulk, Ramires, Witsel, Lavezzi, Jackson Martinez et al you mean ?
His God status has gone downhill, ever since he lost his afro.Only 10m? He'll be like god to midget league
Or maybe it's his wages. I'm pretty sure that there would be English clubs in for him if the price was right.
Fair enough buddy. If you think ability is the only thing that differentiates one player from another, we'll just have to agree to disagree.Well all are players are professional, so what other benchmark is there really other than ability?
Possibly. However i can't think of any of them being a free agent only to sign a contract with the former team because no one wanted him. I have a feeling that fellaini is moving to china because no one wants him
Educated guess but him getting circa £235,000 a week might have something to do with him moving to China more than nobody wanting him(which even you don't believe), could be wrong though......

Well that speaks volumes about his attitude about football doesn't it? Having said that he was a free agent not long ago and no one moved in for him.

If you're getting paid that much at his age knowing your prospects of going to a better club with better wages is zero, I would make that same sacrifice and you probably would too. His circumstances now, financially and playing wise, are much different this time compared to his initial contract he signed with United. I can't fault this dude when he's achieved trophies at United. League Cup, FA Cup, Europa League and World Cup appearances. Capped 87 times for country.
His attitude spoke volumes yes when on the pitch because he gave a shit. Was 100% happier and still am when United let go Depay, diMaria, Schniderlin, Evans, etc. Mentally, they weren't fit for the club. They all had more ability than Fellaini, maybe not Morgan it might be level, but why did Fellaini survive longer? Something was there like attitude and professionalism and effort.
So he's a Mercenary eh, name me one professional footballer that isn't.
Would have sworn he was close to signing for AC Milan last Summer, but maybe I imagined it.
What a terrible and disrespectful post. Do you have any sources for your statements?
Ah I'll miss the guy. So long big fella! Can't wait for the tell all book.
Not the most talented. Saw enough moments from him that showed me he had the right mentality of a United player. Moreso than players like Di Maria.
1. Perfect reaction to getting shit from idiot fans who look at him and get flashbacks of Moyes (seek help)
2. Last minute goals
3. Not complaining or sulking... Was already ready to do a job when needed
I think this is a great move for both sides. As much as I disagree with the (silly) idea that this is a symbolic move to the world, he is no longer available as a Plan B, which places more emphasis on us getting our Plan A right (which was always bs, if our starting players did the job more often he wouldn't have featured as much under 3 managers, but I digress).
Our supporters will have to find another scapegoat for any future woes, but a significant source of negativity is removed.
He gets playing time, important for the national team, and he gets paid well in China. Plus he'll surely have a significant height advantage over there, no?
I wonder how many shirts he sold with us.
Nah. Napoli wanted him a year before but they wanted him on loan and with us paying him most of his salary.
its funny how his fanboys keep defending him. To answer your question Fellaini survived because he knew that he won the lottery by signing with us and there's no way on earth that lightening would hit the same place twice. Thus he stuck to the rubbish managers we had when no one did because he knew that if United end up signing a decent manager then he would be the first to go. But don't let that fool you. When his confidence grew he came up with BS of United making a mistake for not extending his contract. He only came back to sign a new contract when it became evident that no half decent side wanted him. So if you think that Fellaini would have turned PSG down than you're deluded.
So Let me ask a more appropriate question now. Why every manager who stuck to this bellend found himself fired?
How many last minute goals did he score? Im pretty sure its less than 5 in his 6 seasons here. Why would you praise a professional footballer for not sulking and complaining? I guess most of our players do right?

I think if you question Fellaini’s attitude to football, you must have an axe to grind.
He was a United player, I think we're entitled to defend players who have played central roles in winning big matches and trophies. Many people came to appreciate his contributions but at the same time understood his limitations and he wasn't good enough to be a bonafide starting player. Should he have been bought in the first place, no. Hell no. But United bought him and sanctioned the purchases of other midfield players. It's not as if he wasn't competing with other midfielders to play games.
Why does Ole or Woody get praise for selling him at this moment in time? I don't get how those are related. Fellaini has been on the transfer block the past couple of years and finally his valuation or external offer has been met. His time has come and it was coming, so what. Rooney was here through Fergie and he survived his attempt at selling him. Moyes resigned Rooney, then was fired. LVG signed, made Rooney captain still and was fired. Same with Jose, but then it was under Jose who sold Rooney....or what is just timing or was it Woody who sold him?
Majority of players outlast managers, what's your point? If he was such a negative to the club, he would have been sold much sooner/closer to his buy date a la diMaria, Morgan, Depay, Mikhitaryan, Januzaj. Rojo is still here, Darmian is still here.
Well said sir.So long and best of luck Marouane, unloved by some underrated by most.Ah I'll miss the guy. So long big fella! Can't wait for the tell all book.

I think he took a pay cut to stay with us. Irrespective of that, he was a free agent just few months ago. No one signed him up
Can people name better players who were here a shorter period of time than our man Fellaini.
Yorke.
Cantona?
Are we really putting him in that bracket of players ? Good Lord. He belongs with Djemba Djemba, Klebberson, Dong fangzhou etc.
