Nani and Zaha both had these attributes, it didn't end well for them, just because a player can run fast and dribble with the ball (it is actually arguable how good Anderson is at this anyway) doesn't mean he's going to do alot for us, added to this he will need to adapt, and in general LvG has a bad record with Brazilian players his impact could be limited, as will likely his playing time initially.
I agree with the not spending any money sentiment myself, other than a left back maybe, LvG has created this 'slow and obvious' attack himself, he could just have easily hung on to Nani, or Zaha to offer us some pace on the right until someone else came in, but he didn't and i'd rather not spend some of our next managers transfer budget to help bail him out.
