Privatisiation has led to an under investment in the maintenance of the network, but probably cheaper prices.

Personally, I'd prefer to pay more not to have to worry that there might be a 24hr power cut.

Wales seem to have had this problem for years tho, ITs annoying that its still happening in this day and age, and when the power goes off you realise how much you need it, i just sit there with my iPod and a few beers

Now that is fecking bollocks

Literally the company who are responsible for London and East Anglia's network are French. They own the network. I know that because they told me on the phone when I went ballistic.

feck that, i don't mind it when i have beers and my music, quite relaxing really its good at uni, as we all go and sit in the front room and get drunk,

last year power went off for bout 6 hours at night, so we all got drink from around the flat using our phone lights, and got fecked out of our tree's

I remember a time when there were no power cuts unless your fuse went and then you just pressed a button.

feck the French.

TBH I think it was done during Thatcher's time and we're only just seeing the downside.

warm beers?

it depends what area you are in, Once the whole of tewkesbury (apart from houses on the hospital power lines) had a power cut, cause some bloke chucked his dogs lead at the power lines and it wrapped round them and blew them all,

My nan was on the hospital line, so i lived round there for 2 days till power went back on

Ive got a beer fridge in my room, and its feckin freezing in there, it takes about 6 hours for a beer to go warm, and if they do get warm, Carrier bag outside window will do the job

in the first year i had a pint of milk hanging out of my window till the summer then i used the fridge!

But saying that , i have often walked back from sainsburys with beer off the shelve and by the time i got home its chilled enough to drink
