Favourite name(sponsor) of the League Cup?

Its currently called the Carabao Cup, but which was the your favourite sponsor/naming of the cup?

1981-86- Milk Cup
86-90 - Littlewoods challenge Cup
90-92 - Rumbelows Cup
92-98- Coca-Cola Cup
98-03- Worthington Cup
03-12 - Carling Cup
12-16 - Capital one Cup
16-Present - Carabao Cup

It will always be known as the carling cup for me.

Carling Cup. I have zero recollection of it ever being called the Capitol One Cup.

Milk Cup.. I remember watching United vs Liverpool in Danish TV when i was 9.. United lost 2-1, but was 1-0 up at the half time.. After the game I was very upset, and my non football friend tried to cheer me up by telling me that at least United won the first half..

I still call it simply the league cup unless I’m talking to someone a bit clueless and HAVE to state Carabou .
Of its past names Carling sticks out the most, I guess through it’s longevity and it being not-so-much of a mouthful to say.

Of course if a rival wins the competition it automatically gets renamed the Mickey Mouse cup.

It’s always been the League Cup for me followed by the Milk or Carling Cup.
Then again I still call the Europa League the UEFA cup.

I don’t seem to recall seeing Caraboa in a UK shop! Caraboa has done well to keep it for 8+ years!

It was the carling cup during my school/teenage years so always called it that until it changed sponsors. Then there was a couple of years were I refered to it as "the carling cup or whatever it's called now". Now it's just the league cup. As it should be.

Forgot capital one ever sponsored it. Hardly rolled off the tongue which is probably part of the reason.

It'll always mainly just be the League Cup for me. Just like it's the FA Cup, Premier League, Championship, etc.

I don't think of / refer to any of the competitions by their sponsors. I had to check up on them for this, but I never refer to them as the Sky Bet Championship or Emirates FA Cup - and never really keep track of the League Cup's many sponsor changes either.

1. Carling Cup
2. Coca-Cola Cup
3. Worthington Cup

Favourite title sponsors in football history:
Liga BBVA
Barclaycard premiership
Vanarama National league
Bob Save Superbowl

Funny story about our domestic cup.

After Willem 2 won it in 1944 it was never found again. Allegedly the Germans stole it as silver was scarse at the time.

I don't know if you guys are history buffs or not, but reportedly the Germans did an awful lot of naughty stuff around that time. I think they were led by this guy who was a real jerk...
