FAO Veron knockers

I don't think there's much chance that Veron will be sold in January. Whatever you think about his league performances, he is vital to us in Europe - he was probably bought with Europe in mind - and his performances so far have been mostly good as his style suits European football, so as I said, I don't think he's going anywhere. As for whether he will be sold in the summer, that will probably depend on how well we do in the CL.

For my part, I want him to succeed at United (as I am sure do most fans). Go Seba!

So in summary, nothing special.

Miserable prick.

Chief, your on a different planet  I would agree with Zippy and to a small extent Dans. I am a Veron knocker but he played his best game for us on saturday and credit where its due but he was bought to do that consistently, and he hasn't. After 1 good game people are out saying he's great, they always knew he'd come good blah blah blah. What about his performance in Maine Road, what about the fact the team has been successful recently while he hasn't been playing (eg Liverpool??). He's in a team that at the moment is showing spirit and he has to do th same. 18months is long enough to adapt and now he has to prove that he's world class cos he hasn't over the last season and a half. I will be more than happy to eat humble pie should he go on to be a legend but I dont think we're going to see him consistently do the biz

Yes, thats right, any opinion that differs from yours must lack intelligence...i should just make all your opinions my own then i'd be a genius

I have been saying it all along

THERE IS ONLY JUAN SEBA VERON

he played with passion, fire, heart and skill on sat. Brilliant. Typifide by that challange he made for the ball in the latter satges of the 2nd half when oleg luzhny had the ball n veron tackled it out.

I also saw Veron chicken out of a tackle in the second half.

He did, and he made a few misplaced tackles as well.

But the point is, he made the effort and played with a lot more fire than he has done.

Nope. It's like he's re-learning the game and playing the British way. He will make mistakes still but if he carries on like he has the past two games, no-one will give a toss about them.

He had a fantastic game. Noone gave the ball away more than Becks when he came on, which is understandable.

Think he and scholes should continue playing, it's like they've found eachother and he is working harder. Funny that it took him over a year to get more aggressive and faster, could have told him this after 2 months. Add keano to that and we're fine.

past two?

he's been our best player in Europe!

however, he's starting to tackle, track back and press much better than in earlier games.. so, yep, he's learnt to play the british way... i'd start him in the PL, coz he's def. got what it takes..

he's had a decent season, played well in CL, and now is starting to perform in the league... was very good against so'ton, thought he ran the show in the first half against WHU, and was excellent against Arsenal .. those are his last three PL games.. so there's a very good pattern emerging!

people complained that he's not played against decent sides... that complaint can't be levelled against him, now, coz he's been top notch against, the gunners and depor...

he's starting to show consistency !

I'm not disagreeing.

He made a few sloppy passes on Saturday but played well, and has improved on that tonight. Getting better all the time.

Spot on. I have to say I was beginning to have my doubts after the city game but he's really beginning to pull it together.

I was just thinking PL. I know he's played well in Europe.

We all knew Seba could dictate a match in Europe, show great vision with his passing and do all the pretty stuff.

For me tonight what I loved seeing was Seba putting in those tackles and working his socks off. He may not be the best tackler in the world, but I don't care. As long as he keeps trying the way he did tonight, I'm more than happy.

What's happened to him these last 2 matches??? It's like he's had a personality transplant or something!
