Thinking about FPL making me sick. Literally switched Haaland to Salah Captain 5 minutes before deadline because Haaland was playing United.

Those of us who were laughed at for suggesting Haaland should have been comfortably the most expensive player ever. I mean, this is even more ludicrious than I thought when suggesting he should be 13.00, if not 14.0. (Messi/Ronaldo in their El Clasico used to be suggested at 15.0+ if they were in an FPL for example).
Chaps, it appears James Tomkins is back playing for Crystal Palace after a long term injury. Available for 3.9m at the moment if you're looking for a cheap makeweight in defence.
He had a mare as did a lot of Content Creators and self declared ‘experts’. His team doesn’t look very good on a wildcard as well, still trying to rely on Trent and Salah, Solanke up front.

I’ve been ignoring the Twitter talk a lot recently and it’s helped. Binned Salah and Trent, got Foden, Maddison and Bowen in and risen up the ranks. At the end of the day it’s just looking at the fixtures and guessing.
Yeah I don't think the twitter template is bad in general or anything but there's often a trap or two everyone's going after. The Dennis debacle last season was the peak for that.

Well it looks like Haaland is a season long captain pick now for sure. Won't be deviating from that script again in the near future (apart from 12 obviously).
And with that said it seems obvious now to bring in KDB after GW12 for Salah as he's probably guaranteed an assist every game.
2 transfers this week but with Mitro picking up a knock it looks like Jesus gets another week so probably Trent and Gordon out for Zaha and a cheap defender....any recommendations? Thinking Guehi or Zouma looking at the fixtures.

What would you do if you have him now though? I have Cancelo, KDB, Haaland, Martinelli blanking in 12. 4 total free transfers before that GW. Seems mental to keep a 12m guy on the bench but as you say, probably need him for the run after. Or maybe do KDB to say Diaz for 12 and then upgrade one of the fodder to Foden with the money saved for 13 onwards.

True, but Maddison can EASILY hat trick / haul tonight against a poor Forest in a game that definitely have a lot of goals in it, and suddenly that teams looking good.
