Fantasy Premier League 22/23

DaSilva to Bailey for -4?
Only if you're dead confident of Bailey getting at least an assist.
Now I see he wasn't pictured in the training on Wednesday.

I guess I am doomed.
Ive gone with ASM too, even on a WC. He's had weeks to get over this injury, Howe said they're hoping to have them all back soon but won't reveal whose playing until before kick off and he also saod at the time of the injury that ASM wasn't out with a pulled muscle. So im hoping he plays and if he doesn't i have Gordon to come in.
I definitely won't bank on Bailey being a long term pick. He will get dropped as soon as they lose or he's not great. And they aren't great anyway, could easily lose to Soton who have at least looked a little better and then it's again chop and change. As a first/second bench option he's still ok which is what I will have him as.
Villa have some good fixtures. Im probably gonna hold on to him til at least the world cup, but he'll be benched anyway. He's good back up.

I’ve taken -8 to get 11 players playing and hoping that it is technically only a -4 if they both start.

Was going to WC next week anyway so was reluctant to do it this week to then plan it for how I get it back to what I want it to be before the World Cup.

I’m on FH and currently:

Pope
Trippier Cancelo Dier
Son Bowen Gordon Martinelli
Isak Kane Haaland

Dithering between Isak and Mitrovic…

I'm really tempted to ditch KDB for Son (despite the latter's poor form) given 1) Leicester and 2) gives me the chance to bring Zaha in ahead of his good run of fixtures. Can also do KDB + Zaha now but would leave me short of cash to do KDB > Salah next week....

Depends if you need to play safe or catch up. Everyone has Mitro and they're unlikely to captain him, so if you want to keep ahead of in touch with your rivals then go Mitro. If you need to make big gains then Isak is a good differential, especially if Mitro blanks.

Kane should be good enough but Son has to turn his form around at some point so this Leicester side could be a good fixture. Id be worried if Son would even start with Richarlison and Kulusevski challenging for a first team spot, Son was subbed off against Sporting during the week too. He could be punished and dropped for a game or two?

This is for my draft, so price not an issue.

I have Gundogan, Foden, Haaland and Ederson. But too many City players in an early kick off game. And I usually take a few punts with one midfield position. So mostly I can play around with Gundogan. A punt on Kulu or maybe any West Ham midfielders worth taking a punt on. Almost all West Ham midfielders are available in my draft league because of crap performance.

Or should I just stick with Gundogan.

Went for a last minute transfer for mitrovic and I’m gonna captain him. Bold move cotton let’s hope it pays off

Finished wc
Raya, ward
Dalot, Trips, Perisic (who is going out for James), Cancelo, Patterson
Bailley, Pereira, Kdb, Martinelli, WP
Toney, Haaland, Kane(c)

Any last minute tips?

Almost totally forgot about FPL this week, been so busy. Havent had time to see the latest stratgeies but don't want to use my chips yet. A playing bench has come in useful and 2 FTs managed to field an XI

Robbo > Perisic
Salah > Foden

Ward
Perisic Gabriel Cancelo
Foden DaSilva Andreas Martinelli
Mitrovic Jesus Haaland

Any recommendations now Zinchenko is injured? I could take him out for a -4 to get another defender in plus Arsenal don’t have great fixtures coming up either so I’m willing to do it now. The question is, who for? Needs to be somebody that will play and potentially do well this weekend plus have good fixtures upcoming.

Wildcard locked in

Pope
Trippier-Cancelo-Johnson(50/50)
Son(c)-Bailey-KdB-Martinelli
Isak-Mitro-Haaland

Subs: James, Toti, Colback

a little uncertain about Johnson, but it’s a chance I’m willing to take. Son captain - YOLO.

Final WC.

Pope, Iverson
Cancelo, Trippier, Perisic, Coufal, Neco
KDB, Martinelli, Zaha, Andreas, Bailey
Kane, Mitrovic, Haaland.

Good luck all.

I just threw something together in five minutes for me FH, big on City and spurs. The latter will probably let me down.

Went for a wild card:

Pope
Trippier Cancelo Emerson
Martinelli KDB Bailey Saint-Maxim
Kane Haaland Mitrovic

Gordon in for ASM if he's still injured, Patterson in for anyone else.

Went with Mitrovic and did a last moment swap putting Foden in for Bowen. I feel a lot better about my team now.

One week comparisons aren't a great comparison though.
Anyone can bang a wildcard in that suits this one week, then be wrecked the next few weeks.

Fingers crossed though.
Yeah, just curious (though my WC isnt just for this GW. Relatively easy to get 15 playing players now so WC is a little longer term bu5 only really focussed on 5 weeks as have this weeks 11, 4 to come in to suit from next GW on, FTs… then the WC WC in November)
That Haaland EO.

I didn’t captain Haaland :nervous:

For some bizarre reason Bowen is my vice.

I captained Kane by design but those Haaland captaincy choices are scary

Ugh. In the middle of renovating our house and completely forgot about fantasy football. Got 9 players out at best but had two free transfers to use before my wildcard.

It’s fair to say my run near the top of the league is over. First time I’ve “forgotten” to set my team in years, and on such a crucial week.

Great, if another 41 managers in the Caf league have done the same, I could jump up the league. Fingers crossed.

WC active:

Pope
Trippier, Cancelo, James
Salah, Martinelli, Zaha, Madison
Mitrovic, Haaland, Toney

Subs: Ward, Andreas, Williams, Emerson

Have the game on a second screen while watching Netflix on the main one.

Ass fluttered a bit when I saw Bailey stud someone, and then a shot of him walking to the sideline getting a pat on the back from a teammate

Luckily just a break in play and having drinks!!
Still on for getting a 3 pointer, keep that cleany!

That’s a lot of renovations being done

I’m just glad I didn’t hit wildcard and forget about it. And also I would imagine there’s a fair few going with nine this week.

I've obvs not been following close enough, when the hell did Dan James and Willian pop up at Fulham!?

Friday games, totally oblivious… solid 6 man team for me!

With Andreas as captain, the hell :wenger:

I blame all you buggers who got Mitrovic in for getting jackshit points though team are 2 goals up.

Even worse, you just know Andreas would have got both assists if you'd benched him.
Mitro not involved in either too, typical.

Insane triple in 6 mins all without Mitro or Andreas involvement.
That'd have been a 15 point double up if I'd not got either.
