Fantasy Football 2017/18

Had a last minute panic thanks to @mazhar13 but prefer the final
Line up bringing in bertrand instead and taking Keane out for Daniels. Also swapped Loftus-Cheek in for Carrol with a minute to go haha. Also have a mill spare for gameweek 2 should i need it.

Goodluck lads.

feck sake. I replaced lacazette last minute and he scores. I got in kolasanic, he concedes.

Now I remember why I hate fantasy league

Urghhhh Kolasinac

He's not even playing wingback for feck sake, just in a shite back three at centre half

fecking Giroud.. I rushed my team before the deadline tonight so I had Giroud captain before I saw that Lacazette was starting so i took him out and put Batshuayi captain instead because they're playing WH at home. I don't even know if he's starter or what for Chelsea with the Costa situation.

High ownership because there is a chance he will play and is only 4mil. I've got him in my team too.

Do player with higher ownership decrease in value faster than someone else who is of equal value, earns similar points but has lower ownership?
Not a high chance he'll play. He's a backup and Swansea are in the market for a right back.

Higher ownership means that people are more likely to ship him when he doesn't get them any points and with more people doing that he can go down more at once. If a single 4.0 defender sees playtime Rangel will be gone from teams. That's not worth it imo for a player that's going to be your 3rd sub anyways.

Don't really care about Lacazette or Vardy getting off to good starts yet. If they continue to perform they can be added in. Kolasinac was my only representative tonight and he bagged an assist, excited for tomorrow's fixtures.

Ah okay fair enough, thanks for the tip. Would you suggest buying a 4mil defender who nobody has bought and when Rangel drops to 3.5mil, then invest? I've stripped my team down as much as possible so I literally only have 4mil for my last def position.

Very unlikely that he'd drop that much. We're talking 0.1-0.3m here. If you're going for a 4.0m at all then you're not expecting that player to make any points for you, you're putting him in your squad to free up funds elsewhere. Best bet in that case is to find the player that has a chance of going up. Think Matt Targett last season, someone like that. Perhaps Brad Smith that Bournemouth paid 6m for last season. He's behind Charlie Daniels who played 24 games last season due to injuries and Bournemouth kept 10 clean sheets.

Since you're already locked in with Rangel you might as well just keep him. Wouldn't waste a transfer on him.

I thought then only go up/down in increments of .5mil? But yeah, see your point, i'll look to do that in future, maybe when I play my wildcard.

Decided not to have any Liverpool attackers because a) rotation could kick in around their CL games, b) their attackers could share points between them and c) feck Liverpool.

Currently wondering if that was a wise move.

Thought same but put Firminho in in the last moment and I am quite happy about that decision. Also they have small squad and will rotate less then others. I would recommend putting one of the Salah/Mane/Firminho in.

Very risky, and maybe a silly move.
I hate Liverpool but they play attacking football so I went with Firmino and Salah - both have a goal and an assist each this game.
Firmino for 8.5 was very good value if you consider the price of other top 6 starting strikers (all around 10/11m).

Sitting on 15 points so far and I've only had 2 players involved in these two games. Let's hope it carries on this way.

Hmmm, maybe. Still not convinced they won't end up taking it in turns to be the hero of the week and share the points around. I mean all those attacking Liverpool midfielders were still outperformed in FPL terms last year by players like Eriksen and Alli who dominated attacking returns in a less attacking Spurs side. In fact I'm pretty sure the guy who won last year never owned a Liverpool attacker at any point during the season.

The attacking midfielders might take turns, but Firmino is their out-and-out striker and he's on penalty duty also. No brainer for 8.5. Also Coutinho is leaving so Salah/Mané/Firmino will have to fill that void and will all start every week.

Must drop Luiz and Willian. Chelsea is in worse shape than in that Mourinho season.

I have Salah and Mane in the team right now. Would it be an overkill if I bring in Firmino? I only have 9.0 in the bank (after removing Benteke, ffs).

Or should I remove one of Salah/Mane and replace them by one of Alli/Eriksen and then bring in Firmino?

Glad I trusted my gut and avoided any Chelsea players. Nice to see Mounie getting a goal too. Not getting Salah or some sort of Liverpool cover could end up being a mistake though. Hoping their European fixtures will mess up their early form.

The Fantasy Premier League site seems to be running slower than normal.
