Might live to regret this... Did a last minute swap to take out Jesus Cheek and Kolasinic to bring in Alonso Zaha Chicharito (chicha on the bench for first round)

Okay I tinkered again, thoughts?

Pickford
Stones - Bailly - David Luiz
Mkhitaryan - Alli - Dembele - Wijnaldum
Hernandez - Kane - Lukaku
Kind of wanted Walker because I know Pep loves his full-backs but I replacing him frees up money in midfield for me and also Walker can't cross for shit.

I've gone for:

Butland
Walker - Bailly - David Luiz
Mkhitaryan - Alli - Kante - Ritchie
Hernandez - Kane - Lukaku

Bit top and defence heavy but thoughts?

Like the look of it although I'm not too sure about Bailly and Kante. I think in both cases you can get goal scoring threats for the same price (wingback instead of Bailly and a lower team winger for Kante). Really like the look of your attack!

I've gone for

Cortois

Maguire--Dann--Zouma

Alli--Mane--Cesc--Zaha

Firmino--Jesus--Ineanacho

Howcome the deadline is for tomorrow when Arsenal-Leicester are on tonight?

It's tonight.
I'm just going off the picture Solius posted of his team where it says the deadline is the 12th of August @ 5:45. I'm umming and ahhing on whether to do one this year as I usually forget soon after. So the deadline is tonight?

Nevermind. I just signed in and the deadline is tonight @ 18:45

That's probably local time for him. Poor bastard has to watch football in the middle of the night.

Changed it.
:lol: you change your team more than me and I thought I changed mine a lot!

My only concern with your team is that you have some big hitters who might not play and you'd have to resort to your horrible subs (like we all have). Jesus/Mkhitaryan/Danilo/KDB (to a lesser extent) may all be out of games depending what the manager wants. As good as Jesus looks, Aguero is still their best striker when fit and I doubt Pep will play 2 strikers with the attacking talent he has in midfield, if he does, it then threatens KDB's place in the team.
Mkhitaryan might not start every game and Danilo appears to have been bought as a back-up to Mendy/Walker.

Having one or two of these players in the team is okay, their potential makes up for their risk of less game time, but having 4 players who could all be subs is risky.

Yeah, I realised that after signing in and remembering @Solius travels a lot. :D

I knew I shouldn't have started this....It's already doing my head in trying to pick a team!

Danilo has apparently been covering Mendy on the left side which is why I've gone for him for now. Rest I guess have chances of not playing but I reckon Pep prefers Jesus and Mkhi is likely to play I think.

Edited my post after you quoted:

Rangel is a mistake. He's got high ownership and he won't play so his price is probably going to drop.
High ownership because there is a chance he will play and is only 4mil. I've got him in my team too.

Do player with higher ownership decrease in value faster than someone else who is of equal value, earns similar points but has lower ownership?

KDB is as nailed as you can get for a City player. I know Pep likes a tinker but he's their best player and everything goes through him.

Just can't settle on a side I'm totally happy with.

If I have Lukaku, Kane, KDB and Mane then the balance isn't right elsewhere.

If I downgrade one of KDB or Mane to Sterling/Sane or Salah then the balance is better but I'd be concerned about pricing myself out of getting the original pairing back in. Don't want to spend points in GWK 2 to do so.

----------------------------Foster----------------------------------
---Daniels -----------------Luiz--------------------------Keane---
---DeBruyne -------Salah-----------Ritchie------------Alli-------
-------Lukaku------------Firminho--------------Chicharito-------

Bench is Barry Long Rangel Elliott

I hate this game!! I had Pogba, and Mkhitaryan in earlier, but you look at their numbers and they don't stack up. But I look at my team and want to throw up a bit.

Just entered the league and it's my first time using this game. Have always used the sun dream team so will experiment this season

Team name is: The Special Ones

I like it, always a fan of top heavy sides. However Kante is a big weakness in that side so I would be tempted to downgrade both Butland (down to a 4.5m, his fixtures are horrible to start) and Luiz (to a 5/5.5, fixtures also aren't great and not much chance of attacking returns). Then use that extra 1/1.5m to upgrade Kante to someone like Tadic or Redmond. If not, then I think Milivojevic from Palace might be a better 5m option that Kante as he is on penalties

@FC Ronaldo is there a head to head league? if not I can start one. And also, is there a last man standing this year @Samid ?

Nah too must hassle. Used to be very simple running a competition like that but last season they changed the whole outlook and design of the site which made it far more difficult to keep track.

If anyone else wants to take over the responsibility, be my guest!

De Gea
Daniels - Baines - Alonso
Zaha - Willian - Alli - Pogba
Iheanacho - Lukaku (c) - Chicharito

Foster; Rangel, Can, Cédric

Still a bit unsure about Willian though. Could be one last change tonight.
