Thoughts on this FH?

Butland
Robertson - Walker - Van Aanholt
Salah - Sterling - Arnautovic - Shaquiri
Firmino - Jesus - Lacazette

Hennessey - Miliojevic - Bauer - Long

My mini league rival has Arnautovic and Mili but no free hit so wanted to cancel them out.

Will change if Anfied Express leak that Klopp is resting his big players.

We're all waiting on leaks and press conferences. I think Jesus & Salah are both musts. Zaha is in too good form to ignore although Milli is fine as a backup as he takes all the pens/fk's that Zaha wins. Who knows what team Arsenal will play after that presser yesterday and with news of him leaving. I'm thinking ignore Arsenal strikers now and just get on Ozil.

The absolutely essential thing to do if you're on a free hit is make sure you have cover on the bench imo.

Klopp has just said he will play a strong line-up. But will still keep an eye on Anfield Express.

Tempted to put more Arsenal in now after Wenger annouced his retirement. They will want him going out on a high. Think he said Sunday's team is a prep for Thursday so expecting a strong team.

Zaha is a good shout. Might risk dropping Arnie for him.

3 City, 3 Liverpool and now perhaps 3 Arsenal seems essential, with a solid bench as you say.

Mahrez has been a disaster since I brought him in. Son as well. Will get rid of those 2 anyway.

So who'll get the most points / who should I choose as a third city player (already got Sterling + Jesus)?

- Walker
- De Bruyne
- David Silva

(I'm on Freehit)

Feck this game. DGW are a myth.

Lacazette over Aubamayeng?

If you can afford him surely De Bruyne is the best bet. Played all but 1 game for them, I think it will be a fairly strong side out against Swansea as it's first game at Eithad since winning the title.

They're always due a brace though. I had Son in during what must have been his least productive part of the season.

Can only get one city player in... has to be Jesus surely ? Is Auba definitely not playing ?

Changed my mind again  Think I'll go with this:

Karius
Coleman - Baines - Walker - Arnold
Salah - Sterling - Ozil - Zaha
Lacazette - Jesus

Bench: Speroni, Milivojevic, Mustafi, Tosun

Man would it not be worth the risk in getting a few minus points for good players that will play. It's like -2 points technically if they play the 90 minutes/don't get booked.

Yeah agree with @Morpheus 7 , take a few hits Col

Probably right, but I want to be able to get my preferred squad back together for the following weeks.

Leaky Liverpool strike again. Early team leaks on Twitter suggest no Firmino, Robertson or TAA tomorrow.

Ings, Moreno and Gomez all in.

Mane and Salah start.

feck sake. I take out firminho and Robertson and both get points. Now they're back in and won't play

Sterling all the way! The last couple of games he's had chances to score 3 goals each game. Surely he must finish it off sooner or later. Vice captain is harder, but I think I'll go with Jesus.

His risk of rotation/minute management concerns me though...

Jesus seems more likely to play/play longer.

But feck knows with Guardiola. The guy is a fecking nightmare for FF.

I could imagine Sterling either starting on the bench and coming on for 30, or being taken off at 60.

Moving Alonso out but for who:
Kyle Walker
VVD
Other

With that Liverpool leak I think I'm settling on

Pickford
Monreal / Milner / Bauer
Salah / Zaha / Mane / Sterling / De Bruyne
Jesus / Lacazette

Subs: Hennessy / Crouch / Yedlin / Long

City defence surely. And Walker/Kompany seem the best bets.

Ta. Gone with Walker for a greater chance of him playing both of the double game week. Watch him get dropped now

8 playing this week including no goalkeepers. Burnley better keep a clean sheet this week!

I'm going to just leave Salah as Captain. Every time I tried to be clever and bet against him, it's backfired

Looks good mate.

I've ended up on:

Butland
Van Dijk - Walker - Bellerin
Salah - Sterling - Ozil - Zaha - Mane
Jesus - Tosun

Hennessy - Perez - Tomkins - Long

My thoughts for gw35 (free hit)

Arsenal team a gamble but reckon Wenger will play his strongest-ish XI except Auba. Two or three will be taken off after 60 mins I suspect with thursday in mind.

I’m stearing clear of De Bruyne and Firmino. Might get burned on Kdb but he hasn’t delivered last 5 matches imo (3,3,5,1,1 and no bonuses), Firmino because of the leaked team..

Stoke MUST win to stay up basically. Surely Shaqiri will be the one to score/assist?

Clean sheets are hard to come by lately but I hope this gw can turn it around.
Could go for city defenders but rotation risk is too high imo. Expecting nothing more than 2 points from all my defenders. Hoping Monreal starts, he is a goal threat.

City will win something like 5-0. Jesus only striker available. Surely my captain as most in mini leagues will go Salah. Guessing Pep will put on his strongest XI in first home match as champions.

Might make my FH team: Mané, Silva.

Currently this is my FH team

Ederson, Van Dijk, Monreal, Baines, Salah, Zaha, Arnautovic, Sterling, Shaqiri, Lacazette, Jesus.
Subs Perez, Long.

Ps. I’m having my worst fantasy season since I started playing years ago.
This team will NOT get a high score!

I thought about putting Jesus as Captain but I already envisage seeing the team lineup and staring at Bernardo Silva as striker

All good points - I don't believe in a Burnley clean sheet neither. Monreal is a tricky one though, as he played fully before last Europa League match, and it could be Kolasinac takes his spot..

Time to lay my own puzzle now :) Everyone will probably have the same team anyways, and things will be left to randomness as it always does and I get fecked

Brought in Auba and Tosun. Decided to take the -4 hit to have two strikers and to also have a couple guys on the bench.

Will probably make Auba captain, though tempted to make it Zaha instead.

My team:
Pope
Yedlin, Baines, Monreal
A. Lennon, Milivojevic, Arnautovic, Zaha (v), D. Silva
Tosun, Auba (c)

Bench: Tarkowski, Naughton

I thought about putting Jesus as Captain but I already envisage seeing the team lineup and staring at Bernardo Silva as striker

Yeah I know the feeling. I have a gut feeling Silva might not play. Nothing to prove it with but the whole thing with his son, I’m thinking he would like some time off.
Kdb will score 3 tomorrow, Jesus benched and Auba will start. Wait and see.

On Monreal: Wenger basically said the West Ham match is rehersal for thursday..didn’t he? And Monreal is surely meant to play then right?
I do have money to switch to Bellerin... ahhhh this round is so tricky.

Butland
Van Dijk - Walker - Bellerin
Salah - Sterling - Ozil - Zaha - Mane
Jesus - Tosun

Hennessy - Perez - Tomkins - Long

Tosun is a gamble. Might pay off though and nothing to lose with the rest of that team being so strong.

I've changed again. Decided on Bellerin, Baines, Butland and Sane instead of Monreal, Bauer, Pickford and De Bruyne. Allowed me to upgrade Crouch to Perez too as first on the bench.

I thought about putting Jesus as Captain but I already envisage seeing the team lineup and staring at Bernardo Silva as striker

 you know it. Or Fabien Delph as a false 9. What are you doing Pep??!!?

Here's my team:

Karius
Van Dijk - Baines - Coleman - Walker
Sterling (C) - Salah - Zaha - Özil
Jesus (VC) - Lacazette

Subs: Hart, Tosun, Milivojevic, Long

Defence
- Two Liverpool defenders: Clean sheet in 6/10 lately. Last time they drew WBA 0-0 at Anfield, and except for the Moreno-Klavan combination, I'm not fearing WBA's attack
- Baines-Coleman: Everton's been sublime at home. Newcastle's been 'normal' away. Chance for both to get a clean sheet and if not, then assists. Both teams are safe, so could also be goaly.
- Walker: Safe stable City option, in the midst of Pep's FPL feckover. Stable points are good for me in this phase.

Midfield
Picked the 4 most in form players, except for Mané (I think WBA will stand compact).
- Özil has (with Europa League included) a goal or an assist a game (last 6).
- Sterling (enormous chances, scores regularly and is sometimes deployed as a striker)
- Zaha (Deployed as striker at the moment - a bit lucky with being at the right spot lately, so we'll see)
- Salah (He is Salah)

Attack
- Jesus - May he walk on water tomorrow. Could be a goal-fest as City try to celebrate their trophy. My guess is 3-0.
- Lacazette - Not really trusting him, but not great options in attack. At least he might have some good delivery from a squad that tries to build momentum. Considering taking the chance on Auba, as he's in shape and West Ham's right side is crap (Rice and Zabaleta)
