Fantasy Football 2015/2016

Played wildcard, i have two questions.

1. i made transfers first and forgot to use wildcard and only used it after. Will i lose the points for the trasfers made before wildcard was used or not?

2. i have this team:
Romero, Schmeichel
Darmian, Azpiliqueta, Kompany, Ward, Steven Taylor
Payet, Mahrez, Montero, Mata, Cabaye
Gomis, Kane, Aguero

Good or bad team?

1. You won't lose any points for transfers made before the wildcard. Those point deductions will be negated.

2. I wouldn't buy a Man. Utd. keeper at this stage. If I were you, I'd go for a lower-level keeper who'd be more active in making saves and getting points out of saves. You're better off getting top-4 players for more attacking positions. I quite like your midfield lineup. It's filled with players who are guaranteed to get points through assists, goals, and bonus points. Your front line is also quite good.

Yeah as someone said i spend all the money on other players and just put in first who would played at least a match from time to time.

edit: about midfield, i will play with 3 attackers and Gomis, Kane and Aguero will surely bring me some points.
Montero looked quite good in his first two matches, Mata will always mke assists and goals, Payet and Mahrez will probably get bonus points quite often and they look quite good so far, Mahrez was good at the end of last season too, Cabaye is for the reserve.
 
i wish, I could still use my wildcard. I would probably make it to the top 5 in red cafe if I could after accumulating 73 points last weeks. I expect a poor upcoming gameweek unless Manchester United trash Newcastle. I rather not lose -4 point for the two transfer I need to make. I.e taking out Rooney and Depay and putting in two replacement I know would have a good week.

Edit: or maybe I should keep Depay :lol:

Not sure to play my wildcard this week or not..

I want to pretty much change my team to accomodate Aguero and Sanchez so when I do all the transfers now I still have £0.4m left in the bank. But then a part of me thinks I should keep Rooney and Hazard in this week cause they've got easier fixtures and then make the overhaul the week after, question is by that time player prices might have changed so much that I won't be able to make the team that I can make now. :wenger:

Just think if there was ever a game Rooney would show up in, it'd be Newcastle at home. And Hazard vs West Brom after a bad start to the season sounds more promising than a not fully fit Sanchez vs Liverpool.
 
Made some changes, i needed to put Depay back in after yesterday performance and tried to get money for Sanchez too. How do you like that team:

McCharty, Myhill
Darmian, Catchart, Kolarov, Ward, Steven Taylor
Payet, Mahrez, Sanchez, Depay, Hoolahan
Gomis, Kane, Aguero

Is Kolarov first choice now at City or should i change him?

Something similar was said about Rooney vs. Villa, and look how that turned out.

Re: Hazard, I could see him kick off in style soon, but given that Mourinho and Chelsea has struggled against Pulis recently, I wouldn't really think that this would be the match for it. However, if you want to sacrifice the next GW for future ones, go right ahead.

Also, even a not-fully-fit Sanchez can still trouble Liverpool's defence as he did last season when he was starting to get burned out. I wouldn't count him out just yet.

Kolarov and Clichy do rotate quite often at left back, so I'd keep Kolarov if I were you. He's better going forward than Clichy, anyways (actually a better left back than Clichy, IMO).

Hoolahan, though, :drool:. I do quite like watching him, and he's quite an underrated player, and I'm sure he's a good cheap punt for some nice points. Your defence, however, may take away some points. Kolarov may have some GW's where he might not play, and Cathcart is bound to concede some goals under Watford.

Yeah i know my defence is week but just don't have money for something better... That front line of Kane, Aguero and Gomis cost quite a lot of money but i will probably played them week in week out.

My team will usually be:

one of the two goalkeppers, the one who play against easier opponent
Darmian - Ward - Kolarov (Cathart as the first backup)
Depay - Sanchez - Payet - Mahrez (Hoolahan is not bad backup there)
Kane - Aguero - Gomis

If this team will not bring points i don't know which team will...

Even though Kolarov and Clichy has been rotating in the past based on opponents I would still be surprised if Kolarov isn't the clear first choice after the start he's had. It's worth noting that he's ranked very high on the BPS stats (even got 3 BP against Chelsea) even though he hasn't delivered any assists (?) or goals. That means he's capable of achieving bonus points just by City keeping a clean sheet and even when they score a few goals.

My team now is:

McCarthy, Schmeichel
Shaw, Kolarov, Richards, Gomez, Souaré
Sánchez, Depay, Yaya, Payet, Mahrez
Agüero, Gomis, Deeney

Replace Romero with mignolet. Too risky to bank on a United keeper right now

Why? We've yet to concede a goal and Liverpool have Arsenal and us away coming up. Worst case scenario he can just transfer Romero out if he's no longer first choice after the transfer window shuts.

Did replaced both GK especially because i needed money for other positions, see above my curent team.
 
Hmm i only just took Depay out for Yaya and after one good performance im now tempted to put him straight back in. Tough choice.

If you're ever in doubt, stick to what you have. Don't make any changes unless you're 100% committed to it.

Stick with Yaya, City have way better fixtures than us coming up.

Not sure if I should have Ward or Davies for Spurs as they cost the same... I just dont want to get Davies and suddenly they start to play Rose or Trippier...

Was gonna get rid of Wilson but might as well wait now that they have a few easier games...
 
Question: is there a decent app on the appstore where you can do all of this fantasy stuff, other then the piss poor one your supposed to pay for?

I'd say Sanchez and Pelle, I think Coutinho's a wonderful player but if he's not scoring screamers then his impact on the game isn't that great for fantasy football. Sanchez is just an efficient assist and goal machine. Costa hasn't looked great for a little while now and I think Southampton have far easier games coming up.

Yeah that was my initial thinking, Sanchez is a beast.
 
Depay is increasingly looking a good shout, as LvG has hinted he might be rely on him more on as a striker which is very valuable for the game as he's still marked as a midfielder.
 
trying to figure out how to set up my team...a disasterous first couple of weeks left me with no choice but to use 1 of my wildcards, so at the moment I'm free to take out/bring in anyone I feel like, so I guess I'd appreciate to hear your thoughts on the outlook of my team.

(couple of players I wanna get in, but can't seem to due to the structure of my team, players such as Costa/Hazard, Montero, Bolasie/Zaha, Williams, maybe Benteke)
I really feel like I should be playing with atleast 2 absolute beasts up front if I'm going with a 3-4-3 formation, however I'm finding it impossible to do because I also really wanna keep Sanchez, Silva and Depay.
I feel like a complete bellend at times.

Zabaleta out for a month means Sagna is great value at just 5.0
 
Tough decision for captain this week, settled on Gomis away at Sunderland for now. I'm tempted to switch to Aguero (away at everton) or even Memphis after his superb performance midweek. I think i might change my mind in the morning but i just think Sunderland will leak goals again.

I am not sure if there are enough goals in my attack, but I don't know how to get more money to upgrade Lukaku to a better striker. One option is to replace Sanchez with Depay (I want to fill the United quota, and use the dough to get Kane, and also upgrade Kone into Gestede or Okazaki).

Thoughts?

I can't see Yaya being great this season. He started good but will definetly fade away like last season + this season is AFCON year...
