Had a couple of decent days, now only 200 points behind Binny. I'm backing myself to win the group stages.
Top 10 out of total 27 players, as it stands with first break in schedule.
Note to self- Never pick any pakistani again. feckers.
You need to choose right players. Irfan was my captain today. Gave lot of points and made up for my crap game earlier in the day.
I would say never pick any Pakistan batsmen.
I miss Hafeez in this game, such an underrated bowler. He's been an obvious captain choice for me whenever Pakistan have played in the past versions of Fantasy. Grabs a wicket or two with the new ball and ends up with figures of around 2/35 (+/-) in his 10 overs (or 1/25 in the T20s). Loads of bonus points for economy plus he's Pakistan's most consistent top order batsman (that doesn't say much but still). Listed at 9m that would've been brilliant value but the Big Three got what they wanted I guess.

Irfan getting injured really hurt me. He could have easily picked 2-3 wickets and at good economy rate and he was my captain too so I am looking at a loss of at least 200 points.
This is going down to the wire. Time to use stealth mode and go completely mental I think.
I do my transfers irrespective of what others do, so from me at least you don't need stealth mode. I am still ruing Irfan not bowling after 3 overs vs UAE. Had he bowled 7-8 overs, an econ of less than 3.5 and 2-3 wickets was entirely possible, giving me 200 points as he was my captain. Then we would have been on par. Now I have slender lead but used 3 transfers more.
My transfers are done within the final minutes of the deadline so I probably don't need it anyway.

In fact I'm surprised he has lasted as long as he has, this was his 9th game in under 40 days. I threw him out of my team last night so he'll probably get a 5 fer against SA.

Good day for me. In Top 10 now. Had Taylor, Williams as captain. Did not pay attention to this for the first 10 matches or so or I would have been even higher

You have 5 more transfers left than me. So, 350 point difference can be covered.
Too much batting oriented selection from you today in both games. Selecting bowlers of top teams against minnows is always low risk move which can give good points too whether bowling first or second. Batsmen on the other hand have limited scope when chasing score of 130 or so.
Would've been confident if any good teams were playing the final two games. Pak and Windies are far too unpredictable to cover that margin imo.

Nice to win the group stages. Saving transfers towards the end was key.

I led both group stage and final one combined afterwards for most part of the tournament but both times missed out on last day. Today I almost had Johnson in my team, only to opt for Corey Anderson at last moment. Lost by 44 points in the end so that cost me. Nice fun though.
