Even more frustrating than our below par form this season is fairweather fans.
W@nkers who sound off if every match isnt a 9-0 thrashing .
Nothing wrong with discussion of positions etc but fans who just diss the players full stop.
If you dont like the state of play p*ss off

I'm not allowed to take part in this debate because according to Candian Dee i'm an unintelligent fan who gives the club a bad name. Not bad for their 11th post

Oh shit, I'm dead NOW!

I think this is actually worth debating, its reached such a problem on this forum. Do we love the Club, or the Players? When the Doc was our manager, would it be ok to want him sacked? When Birtles was playing up front, is it ok to say he's not good enough? When the manager sells a player, is he right to do so? If the manager, in private, slams into a player, is he right to do so? When Chairmen sack a manager like O'Leary, is that loyal? Why are fans the only one's who can't criticise, can't demand something back for THEIR MONEY. The players earn more in a year than some people do in their lifetimes, I think its fair to expect something in return for that, like hard work every match.

:D Thanks. Looked on the BBC America site and Comedy Central (both have shown it in the past) and it looks like they're gonna give this one a miss. :( Stuck with Graham bloody Norton and his audience sharing their disgusting secrets. And Changing Rooms. ;)

Yep,but half of the planks dont even have a good reason to slag the particular player off. They just want someones head because we have lost.
Its a slow start to the season, noone can deny this but some fans still arent satisfied with 3 points right now.Once we have got a few wins on the trot and clawed our way up the table a bit we can expect some more classy goals.Right now 3 points is 3 points.
Bad enough to watch the team struggle then to come in here and read so called fans comments adds insult to injury.

I think the worst of all is even when we win, there is still reason to complain!

Exactly,3 points in the bag, room for improvement maybe but 3 much needed points;then they come on here and start.....

Those who use the Treble season as a measuring stick for the side of today should remember we lost one and drew 2 in the first 6 games of that season, so the only difference is we have one more defeat. Nothing to worry about imo, especially once we strengthen the squad in January. What I find really irritating is when people come on straight after we win 5-2 in the Cl just to say "let's not get carried away..."

It depends whether they are complaining or picking up on aspects that could be improved. You always have to look for ways to improve but any criticism must be backed up. It no good just to come on a start throw around complaints.

Yep,(was just about word for word what Kevin put too ).We should at least bask in any win for that evening.

I agree with Neil.

Is it fair to condemn Fans who criticise players or management as disloyal to the club?

It's like saying that slagging off Tony Blair means you are disloyal Brits!

If that's the case, Americans are the most loyal citizens from what I see here when they think that George W is the best thing since sliced bread!

we shouldn't!

nor should we slagg off the team if they tried their best and have been unlucky..against the better sides!

I do, 100% in fact

If there's on player i wish would perform well then it's Mr V

Then i wouldn't have to listen to you lot telling me how great he is when you know that you are lying

;)

You have to feel sorry for the doom and gloom merchants. I remember when we were going to see us lose to oxford and teams like that. The days when European qualification was a distant dream. Now people get upset when we win 1-0.

Only if you were a physio

All of us have criticised the players at times. It's a forum, if we all just agreed with each other it would be a bit boring.
The problem comes when players are slagged off for no real reason.

When exactly is a good time to criticize a player?

When he's under achieving for 12 months plus?

Bit of an overstatement. He may have set up two goals but we were already crusing after the firstleg, they had given up.

Verons shite. he's only remaining in the team because Fergies stubborn.

and its 11:30 at night & i couldnt be arsed to give you constructive criticism. watch 90% of the United matches and youll see why a combo out of Keane/Scholes/Butt should always be number 1 pairing.

If hes one of several players underachieving for >12 months then he shouldnt have to expect more criticism than others. It doesnt matter if you cost us tuppence or 26 mill.
Criticise but do it fairly.

Really Stanley?

What position did you play in?
