Fable 2

Your TV is doing an overscan! Go to your settings. It will be doing this with all games BTW.

Well, I've only got two other games on it, and I haven't noticed anything on FIFA2009 or NFS:Carbon. It's just missing a little, but unfortunately that's where the text is. My TV isn't new, so I don't even know if I can change it. There's a button on my remote which seems like crop settings, but it doesn't seem to work.

I'm going to go get Red Alert 3 in a couple of days, so when I'm there I'll see if I can find a fairly cheap monitor that I can use with the 360.

I've got to tell ya, i've just finished the main story after spending god knows how long fiddling around doing other stuff. i just wanted to say that it's a very good game, but the main story is painfully short. I've started another character and i'm already at the crucible after only about 3 hours of playing. Yes my characters not as strong but i can still easily kill everything.

I never died once during the game as ressurection potions can be found everywhere. The ending is ok, but being a good character the choices i had to make pissed me right off and i don't think i'm going to play much as that character anymore.

Graphics are great everything looks very smooth and lovely, but the loading times are annoying as hell. Getting money is very easy as i didn't play for a couple of days on my evil character, loaded it up and i had about 100k and time hadn't moved forward. Sort of takes away from the value of the money and if you want a good weapon, then you just have to wait for a bit.

Jobs are very repetitive and dull, and you soon get annoyed with "look at the froth on that", or "you know how to use a hammer".

All in all the story is good, but short. Stephen Fry's character is in it for all of half an hour as he joins you and then you finish the game. The final boss is even easier than the one at the end of Final Fantasy X (for those who don't know you had auto-life put on you so you couldn't die) and the choice you have to make at the end really doesn't add a lot of time onto how much longer you play with that character. You can still roam the world and own all the shops and what not, but the only missions you can do are things like bounty hunter. There's no real incentive to continue playing with your character after beating the final boss other than if you're a completionist.

I did enjoy playing it and will probably play it again at some point in the future and spend all the money i get buying all the houses i don't own already. But it was a good game, great graphics, great voice acting and a very open world (in places) that's again let down by a very short story. The side missions are quite funny (although the funniest bit for me was when you meat Stephen Fry's character you have to leave through his "rear passage", innuendos get me every time) and do add some more hours on if you do them all, but they are usually fetching missions. Hopefully they'll bring out a new addon sometime in the future but until then i think my foray through Albion is over.

My wife divorced me last night so I married a prostitue called leah. Shes much better than the old wife who was just a bit of a prude country girl, this hooker is far more easily pleased. She doesnt give a shit I have put her in the worst house I own, or that I only visit her once every week. Shes a bit high maintenace as she is always wanting sex, but she was cool when I invited another hooker back and we had a three-some.

Marry the new whore as well, and let her live in the same house. Then bring another whore back home and see if you can have a four-some.

No internet at home mate, haven't had it for about 6months now. Some fault on my line that Orange say they can't fix. Want to be back online in time for COD5 though, but not sure that is going to happen!

Right gimps, I have a question regarding fable. I don't accumulate any money when my console is turned off, which is a royal pain in the arse. Any ideas why?

I know that. But COD4 is called Modern Warfare, yet people still call it COD4. Is there another one coming out next year or something?

COD4 was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, hence why Weaste accepted the abbreviation of COD4. You know how he is.

And COD6 is being developed by Infinity Ward again.

Infinity Ward started it all, but good old Activision wanted a release every year, so while IW were working on their 2 year cycle, Activision decided that it would be a good idea to give the thing to a studio called Treyarch. Infinity Ward then gets pissed off because they think that Treyarch is crap. Thus Activision say, ok, you do the main series from now on, we'll do spinoffs.

So when is COD5 being released? or is it going to go COD1, COD2, COD3, COD4, World at War, COD6?

Treyarch are the ones who did COD3? This is all very confusing.

No, COD5 is being developed by Infinity Ward again.

It's COD6!!

We have had COD, COD2, COD3, COD4, CODWoW and we will have COD6, we won't have two fives!!

So when is COD5 being released? or is it going to go COD1, COD2, COD3, COD4, World at War, COD6?

Are you referring to COD5 as in how normal people refer to it or as how Weaste refers to it as COD6 when in fact it isn't?

COD3 was Treyarch, the rest have been Infinity Ward. COD5 should be released in a years time.

COD1, COD2, (COD3), COD4, (COD WaW), COD5.

Well if Treyarch made number 3, how come that was called COD3 and WoW isn't called COD5? This is all making my head hurt, I think I might just buy Medal of Honour instead

Got it the other day, very enjoyable so far. Just coming up to the crucible, though by the sounds of it, it seems I'm quite a bit through the main storyline. Would this be correct?

Also, why do most of the bandits speak as if they are from NI?

Dont be afraid to blitz through the story, the game actually gets better AFTER you've completed the story.

Really!? I was a good character and thought that after the story it sucked. Especially after what happens if you make the uber-good wish. Couldn't get the rest of the silver keys which annoyed me or do the archaeology quests.

The fun in the game is actually just messing around, the story is OK but the more you play, the more you realise that less emphasis was placed on the plot. Besides lots of quests only open up when you're done with the main storyline.

Oh aye, i know about all the storylines but
i want my damn dog back!
I've done most of the quests that are left including the weird magic bed one and own virtually all the houses and shops bar the castle, so (being the obsessive completist i am) i wanted to get all the silver keys and the ultimate gun only to find that i couldn't after my wish at the end! Bloody annoying. Haven't played it since, had an evil character on the go too and might go back to it soon.

Seen a review in an episode of playr this morning . Don't watch regularly so don't know how much faith to place in it, but I like the look of this game.

If you've not played it, get it. If you like rpg's and action games you'll like it. Also the expansion comes out soon so there'll be something new for ya. Very good fun to play but the story is quite short.

Got the 360 for Christmas, and picked up a pre-owned copy. Now just waiting 'til exams are finished to get playing.

Began playing this today, after exams. How far into it should you play before you can properly enjoy the randomness and free roaming aspect?

After you do the first part of the main quest, you should kinda feck around for a bit with sidequests, marriage, and property ownage. Same after you do the second part, because after you complete the third part of the quest, it's pretty much straight to the final battle. I had the same reaction as Xander45, it was a little too short and easy, and I'm usually terrible at videogames.

I managed to get the best sword in the game after I completed the main quest purely by jumping in a random place, which I'm pretty proud of. Unfortunately there's no one left that's challenging to kill.

I haven't played as an evil character yet, so there's that.
