Taken off :(

Injured again perhaps?

Another goal for him.

You can see he really understands the attacking side of the game. His positioning around the box is very good and he will always get chances with his movement. For a full back he's a very good finisher.

Great show from the Da Silvas today. It really annoys me when one of them inevitably comes off with an injury almost every game they play, but they have tremendous ability and are fantastic to watch.

Did he come off injured or just Tony V being given 45 minutes? Didn't think it was an injury. Both seemed to be huffing at the end of the half - they certainly weren't used to that kind of effort.

He was an improvement over Brown if he and his brother can stay fit they are both more than good enough to get 30-40 games a season, top top footballers, excellent technically

Good display, again. Looks just as good a prospect as Rafael.

Anyone else think that Fabio's potentially a really fecking rich man's John O'Shea?

What a weapon. If they can be loyal to us, we will rule the world soon, get just one or two players who can keep the ball in the middle and we are the Barca of England

They do remind me of the type of player that you would see at Barca

Very rich

No disrespect to John O'Shea, obviously.

It's just that Fabio looks as if he has the attributes to really excel in several positions. Looks to have enough ability on the ball to play as a winger, has put in some good performances so far at full back on either side, and has even played in centre midfield for the reserves (and looked comfortable).

He's a really talented player. Not too difficult to see why Fergie said, "These Da Silva boys are something else."

So it is now set in stone

The Da Silvas are f*cking class

Rafael and Fabio running down the wings

Thought he gave us an added threat today. Was very good.

He was brilliant when he came on. Made a great impact.

Played well when he came on, definitely a factor in the improvement of our attacking play, and did his defensive duties calmly.

Fábio has always been a goal threat for the reserves and Brazil youth team. Glad to see he has brought that to the first team.

The bonus of having the 2 twins is that they may want to stay and play together meaning anyone wanting to sign them would have to pay a fortune.

More likely to stay at United being twins. Pretty sure they would want to stay as a pair, so forking out God knows how much for the pair of them would be pretty unlikely in the future.

Let's hope we still have the contacts in the same neck of the woods - whoever scouted them is a legend and there could be more diamonds out there

Really good when he came on in terms of helping the side look more comfortable in possession. The ability to just go past an opponent automatically leads to space for the forward players to exploit and his mere presence was a bonus in such a tight game. Looking forward to this lad feeling at home in the first team squad and staying injury-free.

I feel like whenever the da Silva twins want to get forward they can, it is quite a good thing, they look great as wingers and backs

Yeah its difficult to see how they could both move together. Rafael is our established right back, there are only one or two clubs where he could convince himself that he's trading up (if that). If they wanted to stay together and play in the same team, and I assume the rest of their family is with them in Manchester too. Well lets just say its rare for a top team to need to go out and buy two expensive fullbacks the same summer.

I feel next season he will get more oppertunites with Neville out, but you're completely nuts when you imply Fabio beats O'Shea for utility. Put Fabio at centreback or in goal and he's doomed, and even allowing for mitigating the wing factor O'Shea can cover a greater depth of positions and his experience, positional awareness and discipline allows him to get ahead of Fabio in both fullback positions.

When it comes down to it I'd rather play O'Shea on the wing than Fabio at centreback.

I am so excited about this player! I really hope he is given much more playing time next season. He has been so impressive in the limited appearances he's gotten this season. He has a tremendous attitude on the pitch, he can play anywhere, and he seems to have bulked up.

I am looking forward to next season so much! We have so many exciting young players, I can't wait.

But he is a more offensive version of O'Shea obviously. He might be able to cover a few different areas of the pitch in a more advanced role - he should be comfortable on either flank both in midfield and defence and could occassionally fill in as a central midfielder.

I don't think O'Shea is particularly good at defending when it comes to playing at full back position but since he is rather poor offensively people seem to think he is going to be great defensively, it's like lack of one thing has to result in presence of another, or the other way around. He's hard to get past but once you've done that it's over because he isn't dynamic enough to make it up. I'm not at all saying that he's poor defensively, he's actually decent but from the amount of praise he receives on here for his defensive solidity you would think he's Maldini.

Fabio can definitely get ahead of him at full back, so can Rafael.

Does anyone else think he's gotten stronger? He also seems much more level-headed than his insane brother, which is good.

I think he will displace Evra by early 2012, even though I am not sure of his best position. He is impressive wherever he plays.

I don't think he is going to displace Evra in a year, I would say no way. He is going to settle for part time role for a bit longer but I have no doubt he will have a good career here if he is patient.
