FA Youth Cup vs Bury

This group has had trouble scoring goals all season.

Now we know why

Made such hard work of that. Should of been comfortable.

Tuanzabe my Motm.

Should have won that comfortably with better finishing but Bury did well too and had few of their chances.

Bit sloppy from us at times as well.

Fosu Mensah and Tuanzebe probably our best players.

He's been better this season but I still don't get the point of Redmond. He's big for this age group and runs around but he just seems ordinary at everything else.

Yeah, I reckon sloppy is the adjective I'll go with as well.

Cam BJ our best player on the night, lovely cameo from Rathbone.

Redmond my least favourite player among young players sloppy with his passing in most games. Gribbin has the talent but always seems to take extra touch (s) before releasing pass. Defenders + Mensah best for us

I haven't properly followed the youth team in years but any regular watcher like to comment on who is coming through the ranks that looks promising?

brilliant player fosu-mensah. look like a giant in the middle of the pitch. he got absolutely everything in his locker. big and physical, good engine, good passer, comfortable on the ball too.

watching 6-7 minutes of his compilation video of course doesn't tell the whole story but he does look like is a fantastic young talent here.

Redmond was really lucky that Thompson was injured and Kehinde had paperwork issue, otherwise I don't think he would start.

But have to say that he's improved this season and put in some good performances before this match.

I can't help but being a little bit intrigued by him. There's something there. He's a good athlete, he covers ground effortlessly, he's technically sound, he can pass the ball and he's quite an intelligent player. When he strings it all together, like he did against Newcastle recently, he's quality. As you say, much improved this season.
