FA Premier League (and FA Cup semis) - 26/04/25 to 27/04/25

When does the purge of Liverpool fans start? Or are we going to put through the pain of them gloating about their title win? I've already stopped checking any social media, tv, streaming platforms to avoid that.
Purge?! From where?!

feck it. Let them have it. They earned it. Don’t be bitter.

We had this nearly every fecking year for twenty years.

Yes. And we won't come back either
Honestly. Weak as piss some of our support. During the 80’s maybe this type of rhetoric may have held weight, but now. With what we’ve seen in the last 30 years, you think what they have is insurmountable. The impossible dream… made possible. But lordspud reckons we’re fecked now. Laughable.

Klopp had it very hard though to be fair. He came 2nd with 97pts. Slots could win it with just 80

Yet here you are on a thread that will be discussing them, talking about them. Add this thread to your blacklist.

I think Arsenal win it next year

It will be City next season, 100%. Their performative “we aren’t that bad guys, honest, we struggle too!” phase is over.

They have been able to turn it on to ease into CL places and cup final. Next season will be a title again and a return to overwhelming corruption.

haha, no I just came here to ask that question. Also, one needs some companions to get through a dark day like this. Eases the pain.

So I have muted the word Liverpool, the hashtags #lfc and #ywna, the @lfc account of Twitter and my feed is already looking much cleaner. Is there anything else I should mute?

But their trophies mean more, so we're even further behind than we think.
Really ??

We had 7 Leagues and added 13 Premier Leagues while they only won two;
We have 13 FA Cups and they have 8;

.................and basically domestically this is what counts.

Yeah most corrupt team in world football

What?! How did you not get that I was joking? I was mocking their tagline of "this means more".

The fact their Dutch manager won the league in his first season...

How do we think Slot would have done here? Crashed and burned due to the state we are in?

.......................and they're still dreaming of a 'real' Treble.

I think the biggest scandal is the transfer money wastage from utd board. How can you spend 100s of millions every season and yet always end up with useless players.

Do you really want us to suffer even more. To be fair if they get that striker they could. Think there is a mentality issue with them though to get it over the line.

Depends how much City spend in the summer.

I think City have too many gaps to fill whereas Arsenal just need a striker and maybe another midfielder.

and then look at the likes of Gravenberch costing around £34m
Liverpool added four new players to their senior men's squad, spending about £165m on transfer fees to sign Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch.

The media always report low fees. But when the official accounts are published its a different story on wages and transfer fees.

You're right but also it's Arsenal and Arteta. If they win the CL this year I'd probably back them to win the PL next year like Klopp and Liverpool did.

Definitely, the money has been spent but 90% of it has been wasted, every season we say about having a clear out, yet replace those cleared out with more dross, that then also needs clearing out

Rinse and repeat forevermore
