FA Premier League - 05/04/25 to 07/04/25

Morgan Rogers is such a gem in this Villa side.
Love the way he plays.

We found ourselves in those kinds of positions time and time again against Forest, but lacked the cutting edge to make anything of it. In contrast, Villa are showing exactly what real quality in the final third looks like - and the difference it makes.

Elanga is superior to both Sancho and Antony, he has all the attributes to succeed as a solid EPL winger or WB.
He's at his level, not good enough for what we want to aspire to be. Nothing wrong with being a solid mid table player

Alan Smith just said this match is more important than the PSG one. Stupid thing to say that

True though. They ain’t winning the champions league. They have a chance to get back into it though by coming top 4

They are not winning it but they do have a chance to reach the semis. That'd do much more for the reputation of the club and confidence of the team than finishing in the top 5.

Jota should have been booked 10 minutes ago. Always annoys me when players who continually commit those cynical game delaying fouls get several chances.

Forest should at least be level by now.

Villa are going to get a beating from PSG.

Somewhat frustrating that Rashford seems to be brilliant at corners and I don’t ever recall him taking them for us.

It's not true. Why would qualifying for a tournament be more important than the quarter final of the tournament? It's ridiculous, and they do have a chance to qualify.

It hasnt, if Arsenal won today the gap would only be nine points and Liverpool have a run of Spurs (H), Chelsea(A), Arsenal (H), Brighton (A) all of which are easilly losable games
I think one of those four is possibly a loss (Arsenal). There’s no way you think Spurs are going to go to Anfield and win?
