FA Cup Third Round

What a fecking ridiculous rule. He only had to play the ball because Salah was behind him, offside. Even when they’re shi, their luck never ends

that has to be offside? the defender doesn't make that header if salah isnt there. bonkers.

Is there no VAR? That was miles offside

Offside interpretation is a joke for stuff like that. Why would the CB just let the ball sail over his head and gamble that Salah is offside?!

These offsides today just go to show how lazy the officials have become and how they just rely on VAR for those decisions these days.

Linesmen are pointless now

I know by the rules that isn't offside but it's such a shit rule.

Basic defenders get punished for attempting to defend against someone that's offside.

They should change that rule.

That rule might be even dafter than the handball not being handball if you play it to your mate rule

Offside rules are garbage. Every week there is some bullshit call.

Absolute bollocks that goal. The defender wouldn’t have tried to play it if Salah wasn’t behind him. How is he to know he was offside? He’s just trying to defend. Salah was offside period. Stupid stupid rule.

I must have lost my mind because I did not realise that was part of the offside rule.

He only heads it because the guy behind him is offside?

Another broken rule, along with handball.

I don’t care whether it’s Liverpool or United that benefit, it’s a shocking rule. I don’t even think any Liverpool fans would argue with that.

I thought “interfering with play” was a thing.

Thought they didn't bother with VAR in this round? As it's unfair having it in one game but not in another?

Bloke in the pub just told me it’s only if two PL teams are playing, which seems… unfair??

But also, this is “bloke in the pub” facts

For those pondering about VAR in the FA Cup.

For rounds 3-5 it will only be available for games which have a premier league club at home. Only for the Quarters and onwards will be be implemented in every match.

That offside law is such nonsense.

Everton's goal yesterday, Varane had to clear the ball with a player standing offside (Maupay I think). But play becomes "Different Phase of attack", Coady is offside as the next ball is played forward but "not active" as it doesn't go to him and yet he ends up tapping it in.
