FA Cup Semi Finals - 22/23 April - Brighton vs Man Utd

Got the ball, shouldn't be a pen

How is that a penalty?? Got the ball.

What is the point of VAR if that doesn't get overturned. If it was United, we'd get 1000 replays and complaints

So he got the ball and akanji was offside, but it’s not an obvious error?

So this is the new season from hell after Liverpool’s CL and PL wins. Life as a United just keeps getting better post SAF :(

Another VAR abomination as Abu Dhabi’s doped up project score at a Wembley FA Cup Semi. The state of modern football.

We probably don't get the pen in the first place tbf. We've had way more obvious ones turned down this season.

I don't think it should matter if you get a tiny touch on the ball - Silva was still in possession of the ball, and your man clattered him.

It can't be just me that things he got the ball
Just you and any other who let their bias get in the way of facts. It's a clear pen. The defender genuinely thought he could clear it, but hacks Bernardo Silva instead.

Either way, that was such a stupid swipe at the ball. As soon as he swung at it, you knew Silva would throw himself to the ground.

I thought it was a clear pen on first viewing, typical striker challenge in the box but replay shows he toes the ball and barely contacts with Silva who makes a dramatic fall.

It really should've been a VAR on pitch review as ref would've had second thoughts seeing those replays.

That there wasn't just shows how wrong the implementation is.

Actually surprised Man. City have gone as full strength as they have given the Arsenal game upcoming.

Forget bias, I thought it was a penalty on first view

On the replay it shows he gets the ball. Are you saying the defender only hit the player and not the ball?

Yeah, him and anyone with eyes. He got the ball, so stop Vardying

Thankfully we've got a nice and easy cup game tomorrow to cheer us up. :)

:(
It’ll be a long while before we can cheer if they win the treble. We have to make the final and give ourselves a shot at silverware and stopping them.

Need to get Case to drop Madrid some motivational messages because honestly that's our only hope
