That's there the big problem if zouma is chelsea's best or even second best defender. He is good in air, I give that. But otherwise very weak in defending.
I actually think this is almost backwards - he's a brilliant 1v1 defender and tackler. See his last ditch challenge against Palace for a recent example.
He struggles more in possession and in his positioning. I suspect he'd be much more at home in a side that plays reactively - there's a reason he was brilliant under Mourinho, for instance.
If he can become more comfortable on the ball and learn to read the game better, he'd be top class. The optimistic side of me is hopeful he can get there...we'll see.
