F1 2020 Season

Still waiting for this mysterious rain that still hasn't arrived

Its hard to believe that Red Bull can be guilty because surely there is no way they could have been stupid enough surely?

Sounds like they were doing it though

Mercedes are so much quicker that the title will probably be decided by whoever keeps the car on the track more often.

In the shortened season, with this car, a DNF for either Hamilton or Bottas would be a disaster.

That live video of Rosberg is really distracting

Edit - best one so far.

If true, pretty serious charge, disqualification from the race ?
Has it even happened before ?
Sounds more serious than I first thought. Commentator just mentioned if they go easy 10 second penalty, up to disqualification if they throw the book.

Seems really stupid by the teams if it is that serious

So depressing watching Michael Schumachers records fall one by one and there's no one else to blame except the horrible management of this Ferrari team over the last decade.

They're slowly making me lose the will to watch F1

Fair play to Stroll in last years Merc, well managed race. Tragic pictures for Ferrari when Stroll came out of the pits ahead of Vettel and then lapped by Hamilton a few laps later.

Don’t understand why it’s horrible. Hamilton is phenomenal. It’s a joy watching them both. It’s no different to watching Schumacher win five in a row. People has similar complaints then about the dominant car etc.

No idea, just going off what has been said.
Maybe the engineers had hairdryers taped to their legs under their trousers blasting hot air down onto the track. Or they tied towels to the soles of their shoes?

As commentary said at the end - the one way this could actually be interesting is if Max and Lewis were in a car with similar performance. What a drive again by both though.

Hamilton in a class of his own today, scary to think he had more pace in the tank as well. Stroll performed excellent today I thought.

Just give the championship to Lewis already. He is good, but the rest were so poor. Even Bottas can't do anything to stop him. Ferrari is really embarrassing, can't even get ahead of Mercedes Team B.

Will be interesting to see how RB fares at Silverstone. Almost seems to be no way Max could keep Bottas behind him on a track with as much flat out sectors as that. Hell, he might struggle to keep RP at bay too.

No it wouldn't. He was three seconds ahead after one lap. It's ridiculous these teams cant do anything to close the gap and challenge Merc. It's impressive and he's brilliant but Hamilton can feck off already.

Ferrari should be embarrassed. It was really all about racing with Enzo wasn't it? Wonder what he would be thinking if he were alive today seeing Vettel get lapped.

What I’m saying is imagine Hamilton crashes or has a car failure in the next race. Bottas would be almost guaranteed to win, leaving Hamilton with 20 points to make up. It would put a lot of pressure on knowing that it will take at least three races to get level in such a short season.

Would have been very sneaky if they hadn't done it in front of the technical delegate, of all the guys to get caught by.

:lol:Biggest scandal since Ben Johnson tested positive.

Regardless of whether it's actually a big deal - The second guy had the kind of body language most of us would have when we have somebody sneaking up and we know we re doing something we re not supposed to

There's a reason for that, the teams had been warned not to do it just before the final preparations began so they knew it was against the rules when they did it.

Haas have a 10 second penalty for both drivers, think it drops Magnussen to 10th. Penalty was for telling the drivers to pit on the formation lap which counts as a driver aid somehow. And Red Bull have somehow got away with it. Predictable.

Mick Schumacher may actually be the real deal.

His speed so far this season is next level and he was pretty bloody quick in mixed conditions yesterday  and if not for mechanical failures, he'd be pretty close to his team mate in the title battle.

I'd imagine if he keeps going like this, that seat at Alfa Romeo may quickly become his. No doubt that he'll have a pick of teams trying to sign him. His sponsorship pull probably beats 75% of the grid in F1.
