It's good, although SAF was less involved in day to day training as ETH, he still ruled with an iron fist... his way or the highway, but still had his senior players that he trusted and spoke to.
It's funny; the players aren't having a dig at him per se, they're just being honest. But what they're saying is clearly painting his tenure as ridiculously amateur-ish.

Maybe the ones that buried their head firmly in the sand, will finally acknowledge that his tenure was a-bit shite really. I mean, this is literally the players he managed that are saying these things - but we were all told that the players loved him and loved playing for him.

We weren't even on the inside as fans and his time here looked completely amateur-ish. He didn't coach the players himself but left it to a couple of inexperienced coaches. His style of play seemed to be telling the players to go out there and do their thing. There were never any consequences (being dropped etc) for poor performances and there were never any improvements on said poor performances. Nothing about his time here suggested he had any business being at a top club.
I don't find her annoying but I'm trying to figure out where she's from.
This is the most school boyish thing you would hear from a professional player. This is what happens, when you mollycoddle prima donnas paying them a hard working man's yearly wages in a week. You would think, its the least they could do. But then think again, welcome to the PL madness.

And then Rangnick joined midway through the season with low standing in the game (at least at the top level to players, not discounting his “Professor of pressing stuff”) — shat on them all in the media and completely lost the dressing room. It must’ve been just cliques and chaos for the past few years.
Why are you guys so obsessed with bashing Ole and that too with untrue statements? If he was so easy on the players, the players would not respect him and his tenure would not be even more than 1 season.
If anything, he is known to be very fierce when it comes to performance standards and players like Ashley Young has described his capability to give the hair dryer. When you take a look at some of the comeback victories in the 20/21 season and even his last season, you can't achieve it without motivating the players and keeping them in check. So let's cut out such baseless statements.
Too old to play for United
The club has always penalized infractions such as showing up late, being on your phone etc. Usually its the team that self governs their behavior. Matic was the last person to be in charge of that.

A little tame for my liking. I was expecting (hoping) a good old fashioned beating with a cane or a wrap across the knuckles, or worse, being forced to watch Micheal Owen DIY videos on repeat.
So, this should make United fans nervous. I’m not saying that to WUM, or look for the negative. But there is a difference between “accountability” and “punishment”.
ETH has managed academies and a club that is essentially a higher profile academy for European teams.
The hope is that he can adapt to managing a team with the profile and roster makeup of United.But when you hear him say things like the veteran players need to get in line and approach things more like the academy kids, and then comments like this from Fernandes … it makes you wonder if he can adapt his style, or if he even realizes it’s necessary yet.
His first pro job, Tom Cougin ( who sounds a LOT like ETH) fined people for chewing gum, not wearing collar’d shorts to meeting, being exactly on time instead of 5 minutes early. He assigned coaches to check in on when players were getting to sleep at night, etc, etc. he didn’t “think” he was treating them like children, but he was coaching the way he always coached, and he didn’t see why a 25 year old on a big pro contract should be different than the 21 year olds he was primarily used to. His second time around he changed everything about his approach and was successful. But he had to fail first.

I have to assume you are on the wind up as surely not that daft. You’d think Ten Hag had never managed players over the age of 18 before in his career and that the multiple comments of adoration from his ex players and fellow coaches, like veteran Steve McClaren, were fabricated.

You're not going to dislike a guy who's a bit forgiving in terms of discipline - not on a personal level. You can like the guy - and at the same time think to yourself that perhaps it would be better if he were a bit stricter.
That said, if Ole was indeed too forgiving with regard to basic discipline (Bruno is talking about things like being late for team meetings), then there's absolutely no excuse for that - not least for him, who aspires to be like Fergie. The latter would never stand for anything like that - over time it undermines the authority of the boss, simple as that.
