So frustrating seeing United slow the pace, go left, and hit crosses into a packed box. How many times do you do the same thing before you realise it won't work?

Doesn't happen to Chelsea very often.
FA Cup, Chelsea 2 Bradford 4
    PL Tottenham 5 Chelsea 3

In the season when they dominated the league. It happens to everyone, it even happened at least one time in the season under SAF.

So United's good run of form is definitely over. A second successive away defeat and this was a bad one.

Everton played United perfectly, absorbing the visitor's greater possession and hitting them clinically on the break. Once the second Everton goal went in from Stones, United never looked like getting back into the game. They huffed and puffed in the second-half to open up the Everton defence and rarely troubled Tim Howard. As they pushed forward they left themselves open to the counter-attack and inevitably conceded a third to Mirallas.

After such a great run of results this is a definite set back and has put United's top four place back in doubt. The game against West Brom at Old Trafford now becomes a must win.

A positive from today? The away fans were great, as usual!
United fans been fantastic, singing all game. Typical though that second an Everton chant comes out the commentator mentions it..

Surely the Falcao experiment is all but sealed now. Not his fault for the loss but his wages are best spent elsewhere. You have to question Di Maria too, I mean he's coming off the bench each week and usually does feck all when he comes on.

Yeah, in a Ladies team with the tremendous respect I have for the women's game.

Same shite against Chelsea. Overly cautious. Last two games the balls run for Chelsea and Everton. The main thing is to get back to playing with pace.

Oh my god - worst performance of the season by a long way for me. Is this the same team that has recent beat city, pool & spurs.... inept not good enough. Liverpool are only 4pts behind if they win their game in hand. They need to sort it out quickly.

Wonder how LvG will be in the post match press conference. Hopefully twice as angry at last time.

We're doing the same thing over and over, getting it wide, letting Everton pack the box and then expecting a cross so godly it cuts out all 6 or 7 Everton players...

    ...its crazy

In fairness, we do have Valencia and Di Maria, masters of the godly cross.

Although I think i'm confusing this with god awful.

That second half was really worrying. Totally inept and I'm shocked that's how we responded to a poor first half.

I'm glad this result happened actually as the board were getting carried away over the last few weeks. We are still a long way away from the top 3, let this be a reminder to us.

Won once at Goodison since 2007. Used to be a guaranteed 3 points.

I just don't know where to place us at the moment.

This whole defeat boils down to two things.

    1. not taking our own chances.
    2. comical defending

otherwise we had started the game well.
them scoring a goal and the ref giving them all the decisions basically gave them the confidence to do as they pleased.
Once they had the confidence, we could not keep up with them.
the more the game dragged on it became exactly that...a drag. and we were growing more and more useless by the minute.
Carrick was the big miss as always. Rooney should never start these games. That is all.

Bastards. That was my last match at this house and my Internet will be off for 2 weeks.

Forget about this result.......we were sucker punched three times. Time to beat West Brom at Old Trafford next week and we will be back on track.

Poor performance and basically we succumbed for the second week in a row to a team that set up on the counter against us.

We need to find a way to "counter" the counterattack, but its difficult when your first choice centrebacks are consistently getting injured and we have to play 19 year old central midfielders-cum-central defenders in the heart of our defence. How was mcnair ever going to match up well against a guy like lukaku? What a joke.

The race for top 4 will go right down to the last day. It will be between us and the dippers. We are just too weak and prone to error away from home to even begin thinking about 3rd place or above. Today was a prime example of that. We've still got 2 more away fixtures to go...and one is against palace who beat citeh there recently..the other is against relegation faced team in a hull on the last day. It will be fecking difficult to get 6 points.

Poor second half, can only remember one real chance that Di Mria made for falcoa. Other than that it was just knocking the ball about as Everton were content to defend there lead. We hardly took any risks to get a goal either, plus the one we conceded was school boy stuff.

If LvG thinks our 4th spot is booked and we would keep it there he's mistaken! United under SAF was never complacent in any position even when leading 13 points on the table! There's so much our team needs to learn these days

Some criminal performances today. Valencia was the worst by a long shot.

Wonder how LvG will be in the post match press conference. Hopefully twice as angry at last time.
He needs to send Giggs and get on a feking aeroplane to Holland to ensure Depay comes to us and doesnt go to the dippers

it's an absolute scandal that we have had Valencia at right back for three years. You can't even blame him - he filled in there once when we were desperate and some how a player who cannot defend to save his life is being asked to play week in week out.
