I'd like to see them go for Favre but perhaps he wouldn't come midseason or at all. Seems like it's the inevitable backs to the wall usual suspects.
 
Bielsa is a really bad fit at this time for Everton. All out attack is fun to watch but Everton probably have the second worst attack in the league after Southampton. Sean Dyche might nick a few 1-0s to keep you up, Bielsa will have you watch 6 goal thrillers which end up in 2-4 defeats. If Bielsa had a summer to build and coach he would be a decent manager but dropped into a relegation fight at the end of January he has no chance.
 
Bielsa at the beginning of a season would be good but he's got an uphill task ahead of him. Maybe Everton are resigned to being relegated and he would be able to get them back in the Premier League
 
I cat imagine a worse choice of manager for Everton at this time. They do not have the players that fit his style and apparently they have very little money to spend.
I still feel that Dyche could be interested if the right bonuses were in place. It would certainly do wonders for his reputation if he could keep them up.
 
Bielsa wouldn’t be able prevent them from being relegated and there’d likely be a big increase in injuries.
Dyche is still the favourite to keep Everton up, and his gruff persona and direct style of play is probably the best way to get anything out of the squad.
 
At least Bielsa has navigated the Championship and would be fun. The big problem is the ownership and the likely lack of funds to strengthen a much below par squad.
 
Bielsa seems like an instant relegation. He doesn't compromise on style. One of the managers that relies the most on pre season groundwork. If you hire him mid season you should be mid table with no chance of relegation so that he can use the final months to evaluate the squad.

It should be Dyche or Big Dunc until the end of the season. Dyche is obviously the better manager but will he take an interim role? Can't see him accepting that.

I'd go Dunc. 4 of the next 6 are at home, he's a passion merchant and will get the crowd right behind the team. Then pray he manages to get some kind of run going at home with the odd point away from home. And then bin him off in the summer and get a proper manager in.

Stupid me :rolleyes:. I got mixed up. The GK is at Inter. Anyhow, any players that might be good addition for us if they go down ? Dont watch Everton at all this season. Maybe the midfield Onana ?
 
Bielsa at Everton in this situation is probably one of the most entertaining things to happen in the history of the League.
It will be monumentally mental and we'll all be transfixed.
For that alone, if you're gonna go down a mess why not go out fighting like a rampant relentless maniac?

I'd actually consider Rooney too; his form with Derby is probably one of the most incredible managerial stints by any relatively new manager in recent times and to discard that as being completely irrelevant or not worthy of merit in Everton's current predicament, should mean you speak with any Derby fans.

It might be if he doesn’t walk out after 2 days.
 
Bielsa might be a lunatic and uncompromising in his style but if he were to take the job it’s because he sees it a right fit. Doubt he will entertain any approach though.
I believe we underrate how good a manager/his understanding of football is.
He will give the club respect and bring everyone together, that’s one of his main strengths and Everton fans need to get back behind their club and players. They have to stop looking at what LFC are doing and willing themselves to think they deserve the same immediately.

Would love to replace McFred with him. Wont cost more than 20-30m but that sounds way too easy for this club.

I rate Bielsa highly too. I’ll never forget watching his Bilbao team play Utd off the field back in the day. Respect is due- though that’s not to say he’s the right choice at Everton at this point.

I can only assume it’s to do with Lampard?

Circumstances have changed and the player is reserving the right to go elsewhere.

It shows what chaos the club is in though off the pitch sadly and begs a number of questions.

Time to put a tenner for them to go down ? How can you sack your manager in the middle of fecking season while on relegation battle and has 0 idea who to replace him with ? Im no DoF but im sure the proper way is to line up the replacement first before firing the current one. Whats the logic here ?? They might as well make a poll on twitter to decide who is going to be their next manager.

The bottom half in general is terrible this year. It’s an easy year to stay up if you get things right.

I think this is true. It’s probably sensible, if boring and frustrating, to take the Dyche pill. He is the most likely candidate to work with what he has, make the team less of a soft touch, add some aggression and get the basics drilled again.

There is much more talent in this Everton squad than he ever had at Burnley, so Dyche probably makes sense during this period of financial upheaval.
