Eurovison Song Contest 2012

feck the performances, I just find the voting interesting. Ireland better give us 12 points.

We never do, it's fantastic. All your tweens vote for Jedward while we give you about 5 points.

The way everybody votes is why Eurovision is a farce nobody really takes it seriously.
Wogan had the best idea just take the piss but even he got fed up with the obvious rigging of the votes

It is probably the one programme where Jeremy Clarkson could get away with being his usual self without controversy.

Even if it was a "photo" of Engelbert Humperdinck urinating on an Iraqi prisoner?

If that were a story the focus would hardly be on Eurovision would it, would it?...

It would be the Daily Mail who would say the shame of our Eurovision entry doing that should be enough reason for us to leave the competition and no doubt the European Union with it.

No, you do actually.

Couple of years ago, you gave us 12 and we didn't give you any, or a low amount at least. I felt embarrassed as I was watching with someone Irish at the time.

Humperdinck was embarrassing on This Morning. Combination of poor vocals and dreadful song. Obviously a winner.

Wow, a time lapse of the construction of the venue - epic stuff.

Shite from engelbert

It seems to have become the norm to throw any sort of criticism at our acts the past few years, but that really was the epitome of average. The performance has probably been forgotten already. Yet people will still cry about cahoots and the like when we score poorly.

was that really the best this country could come up with and 76 year old that most people have never heard off , mine you it could be worst we could of had Jedward

That comment reminds me of when I choose Matt Monro when playing 20 Questions, Humperdinck was one of our biggest solo singers of the sixties into the seventies - it is more a reflection of people not knowing enough rather than him being no one.

It's time. Team Jedward ASSEMBLE!!

I agree, I know who he is and must admit I do like some of his stuff.

It is crazy as Eastern Europe has a reputation for liking American and British music that is dated and is well behind current tastes in our own countries, it might turn out to be a rather shrewd move.

He is certainly larger than anyone else in this competition across more than a couple of countries at least.

Lads, we now know why Michael Carrick is not in the England squad - he is singing for Iceland.
