Europa League 22/23 | Final: Sevilla vs Roma (May 31)

As others have said, we shouldn't be fearing any team in this competition. On quality alone, we easily beating all 3 of those teams and should be able to rotate the team quite a lot against two of them. The only issues is we have a load of travel there, and the attiyude of our own players. Hoping, although unlikley we're already through by the time we play those away games.

Yea but probably garbage teams that couldn't be the top two of their group. Maybe one decent one from a group of death.
Napoli/Ajax
Porto/Leverkusen
Inter/Barcelona
Sevilla/Dortmund

I wouldn't call that garbage. All of them are tmfinal contenders in the EL.

Neil Lennon at Old Trafford....

Send the kids to Nicosia, every other away game use the first team squad.

I'm just praying MD2 is at home because I cannot go and selling it will be a pain if not Sociedad.

Shit draw. Against teams that I'm not sure I'd tune in for. Maybe for Sociedad.

I was thinking the flight will be longer than normal too to divert around Ukraine?
Not much. It will go aver Romania and them Moldova.

It's a good group IMO. Some nice games against decent opposition and then 2 teams that you'd think we can rest some players in.

Slightly gutted we didn't draw FC Union, that away trip would have been immense. Should be comfortable in all these games, although Real Sociedad will be the toughest of the lot. Hope to see some minutes given to the likes of Zidane and Savage for these.

Europa league will impact our league results massively with the long trips to the other end of the world. Not to mention with the World Cup on the horizon all the group matches will be crammed into a month.

From what I watched last season about Sheriff Tiraspol and Bodo/Glimt I'd say it's been a good draw for Manchester United a bad one for Arsenal.

Bodo is a quite underrated team, defeated Roma twice last season and their artificial pitch should cause some problems to the Gunners while Sheriff against Inter didn't really impress me, they're Spezia/Lecce level..

This is a stupid and meaningless question, but why isn't United listed on top of that "Pot 1" when we have the highest coefficient (105)?

If we get Antony and FDJ, these are good games for the fringe players to get a run and get results. Likes of Maguire, Jones/Mengi, Shaw, AWB, VDB, McT, Zidan, Hannibal, Elanga, Garnacho should do the job

We say it’s easy as if we don’t struggle against teams on a regular basis. On paper we should get through. But there’ll be a couple of dull 1-0 wins

Who cares if they are dull boring 1-0 wins? As long as we get the 3 points and win the group so we get a bye to the R16 which don’t begin in March then that’s all that matters.

I have never heard of two of those teams and I don't even know what country they're from. And I'm not bothering to google it. Is this the conference?

Edit: if its not the conference, do you reckon I've got a good chance of getting my Saturday team into the conference? I might be able to get 11 players together.

Honestly we shouldn't be expecting anything less than maximum points from this group.

Mods move this thread to the United forum so this guy can't post in it

Tiraspol beat Real Madrid at the Bernabeu last season in the CL group stages. Omonia are managed by Neil Lennon. Other than that, don’t know anything else about either of them.

Well at least we have two interesting-ish games to look forward to with Sociedad. The others are just banana skins honestly. Will be happy to get through and see what happens when the CL teams drop out.

What are people on about, "other side of the world" and "long flights"? It's Cyprus and Moldova, not Fiji. Nothing to worry about from that point of view.
