Europa League 22/23 | Final: Sevilla vs Roma (May 31)

Why do I have a feeling we'll face Jose fecking Mourinho?

Edit* Okay never mind. Just had a look. Roma are not on the list of possible opponents. Maybe somewhere down the line.

Would love to see José winding up the Arsenal fans over two legs.

There's no way we can draw Sociedad, but I expect that'll probably be announced later as mentioned previously.

They don’t have this restriction because there are hypothetical scenarios where there are 6-7 teams from the same country at this stage of the draw. They don’t want a group restriction on top of a same country restriction.

I hope Arsenal get Shakhtar. I want them to get into next round, but travel a bit to Poland, so it may affect their league form, which may give us a bigger chance to challenge for the title.

We don't need to worry who we draw. The other 15 teams will be worrying about drawing us.

We’ll beat Jose in the final to complete our turning of the corner. It’s written in the stars.

Real Betis please. The atmosphere at their ground especially will be great

As long as it isn't a long trip i don't mind who United get. Feyenoord are top of the Dutch league would be interesting one especially for Erik

Arsenal vs Roma
Fenerbahçe vs Leverkusen
Real Betis vs Juventus
Union Saint-Gilloise vs United
Real Sociedad vs Union Berlin
Feyenoord vs Shakhtar
Freiburg vs Sevilla
Ferencvaros vs Sporting

Please and thank you.

Think we will smash Sociedad. This Utd team is a different beast to the one that played them earlier in the season.
I’m not scared they’ll knock us out, it’s just the other teams we can afford to play some of our reserve / squad members and still get a result.

It will be weird if we get them. Especially the way they celebrated the 1-0 defeat at home only to get knocked out by the same opponents in the very next round anyway

Guess that makes sense, frustrating from our perspective though.

Union Brussels and Anderlecht (Euro Conference) will both play 1st legs at home so presumably one would play on Wednesday and the other on Thursday.

Possibly the same with Basel in the Conference and Freiburg, as the nearest airport to Freiburg is Basel.

Makes booking trips tricky if we were to draw either Freiburg or Union Brussels.

I’d be interested to see if Arsenal take this competition seriously or whether they continue to put out a second string so that they can focus on winning the Premier League.

If their fixtures fall Thursday then Sunday they will be doing a lot of rotating and rightfully so. I don't think any Premier League club would risk throwing away the domestic opportunity Arsenal has for a chance to win this second tier European competition. Possibly the only exception is City because they are desperate to win any European trophy at this point.

Is this the strongest the europa league has ever been since the rebrand?

I think that’s the “restrictions“ they are talking about clarifying today.. Normaly same for Roma, Lazio (both to play home their first leg). Not only same City but also same stadium. It could be Tuesday/Thursday for them… And similar City restrictions will apply for Sevilla Betis when further down.

I felt they took it seriously in their games against PSV in order to win the group.

Hoping for the easiest draw possible so we can do a bit of rotation. We’re still in the fa cup and fighting in the league so another tough 2 legged game won’t help.

That was to make sure they had 2 less games though. Because they’re still top of the league they may focus on that. They didn’t know if they’d still be top when they was playing the group games.

Didn't realise we couldn't draw Juventus which is a shame, I would rather another massive tie. From the list of possible opponents Feyenoord please.

I would be amazed if they can't have games in Freiburg and Basel on the same night.

Be fantastic if Jose dumped out Arsenal. You know he will be doing his best to wind up Arteta.
