Europa League 2018/19 | The Noble Wulf Edition

entertaining game. looks like a war now in the last minutes.

It must be bittersweet being the master of a competition but it’s the Europa League.

Meaning? The old UEFA Cup and Cup Winner's Cup often had better teams than the actual European Cup, especially in the late '70s and first half of the '80s.

The later stages of the EL often have better clubs than the bulk of the UCL Group Stage.

Has anyone been more successful in the Europa League than Unai Emery? He's got the competition sussed.

Meaning it’s always looked down upon compared to a PL or CL title.

The latter part is down to the way they format the competitions tbh, not really a showing of the EL quality. Although prior to this season I preferred watching the EL to the CL, it was more exciting.

Chelsea are mid-table without Hazard. The transfer ban could be devastating.

To be fair, Frankfurt are a very hard to play side. They beat Bayern in the domestic cup final last season. This Europa League campaign they destroyed Lazio, Marseille, Shakhtar, and Inter, came back from a 4-2 away loss against Benfica (where they were a man down for an hour), and are now all square against Chelsea. They're no Guardiola possession team obviously, but they hustle and fight for every ball, and have some very capable attacking players in Haller, Rebic, Jovic, Kostic, and Gacinovic.

Top trolling from Spurs btw when they'll meet EL winners Arsenal as the CL winners.

They are definitely a good side, but I also can't see Chelsea scoring many goals next season minus Hazard.

We’re really going to be the only team in the top 6 without CL football.

Arsenal will win this with ease.

they have a reputation :D IMO, best fans in germany atm.

I think they actually went through pretty remarkable transition from having a reputation is being trouble makers and getting Eintracht Frankfurt several fines for bad behavior of their fans as well as complete fan ban on two occasions I think and somehow managed to transfer all that energy now into some amazingly positive support of their team. So yeah, respect to them and their support.

United potentially being the only club out of top 6 not in the CL will come good as a slap for Ed and Co.

Just kidding.

Higuain showing the world he's still world class.
