Europa League 2018/19 | The Noble Wulf Edition

Chelsea scored, just looking at the stats and seems it's been a dreadful game. Only Chelsea second shot on target.

Really looking good for English teams in Europe this season.

What would happen if Arsenal won the Europa league and finished fourth and we finished fifth - would we then take their 4th spot for a place in the champions league next season?
Nope, the place goes to the 3rd place club in the 5th best league.

I don't think I've watched an Arsenal game where Koscielny hasn't gotten injured in some way or another.

Think Frankfurt might turn it around although I expect the other leaders to win the second leg. Arsenal away from home might mess it up, but 2-0 is such a good result and Napoli didn't impress much.

Napoli seemed so disinterested. Rarely see a team like that. 2-0 is a very good result but arsenal should have scored more.

Great result, take back criticism of Alonso. Still want Emerson to play Sunday though.

Benfica may rue not scoring one or two more when they have to play against 11 men away (for more than 20 minutes, hopefully).
2-0 is well possible for Frankfurt.

Think Arsenal will score in Naples.

Arsenal could still easily lose given dismal away form but big ask for Napoli to have to score four possibly. Mertens just had a freak season last year.

Even if they get through it'll just be a case of the Premier League once more showing its supremacy.

im kidding i like frankfurt, hope they go through and beat arsenal

I think if Napoli get an early goal, Arsenal will shit themselves away and it could easily end up being 3.

Arsenal really are inept away from home. Their performance vs Everton last week and this one tonight was like chalk and cheese, unrecognisable.

The replies to the official Chelsea twitter account's Alonso goal tweet:

Watching Ramsey makes me hope we haven’t frozen Herrera out and he is in fact injured. Can’t tell me Herrera wouldn’t still play his heart out with us having so much to play for regardless off where his future lies next season.

If Arsenal or Chelsea win this and they finish top 4 will the CL places go down to 5th place?

It could literally be

CL - City vs Liverpool
EL - Chelsea vs Arsenal

Can't see us progressing past Barcelona and/or Liverpool. Good advertisement for the PL.

11 to 11 in Germany Frankfurt can beat them 2:0, of course if Benfica can score 1 maybe will be enough for them but they didn’t take full advantage of playing against 10.

Yeah agreed, that second Frankfurt goal could be very important. Think it will be too.

Will be very surprised if they don’t score at least 2, 11 to 11 probably they wouldn’t have lost even if its fair to say Benfica improved recently since they replaced their manager.

Any interest for tonight? Chelsea & Valencia are as good as through, but Napoli might be able to turn it around, and Frankfurt only need to win by 2...

I quite fancy Napoli to do something.

You know there is going to be a huge decision tonight which requires VAR...

You just know Sarri will be playing Kovacic in the deep lying midfielder role. Kante is actually pretty decent in his newer role but he is still far far better in the role that Kovacic will be occupying.
