Europa League 20/21

Do Milan have an option to buy Dalot?

EDIT: they do not.

Shane Duffy not the same defender he used to be you know.

2-0 AC Milan. Diaz

Diaz still looks quite the talent, you could never admit it but he was always a good watch for the City youth teams.

Always rate Barnes for his directness, which he showed there at the start, but didn't think he had that kind of composure in him.

Scored, was taken off (a knock most likely?), they lost.

Leverkusen did rather well, for a change. Although I know nothing about OGC Nice, so I don't know how much it's worth. Probably not too much.
Yeah, I didn't see the 2nd half. Everyone was puzzled he was subbed off, but I think he's not totally fit yet.

AZ beating Napoli away while they're missing mlst of their starting 11 because of Covid is crazy though.

How is Scott Brown only 35? It makes no sense.

Strange how some footballers' age never seems to change, whilst others seem to shoot by.

I think it's mad that Rooney is only 34 considering everything, whereas De Bruyne is already turning 30 next year. Like, how can Rooney be less than 5 year older than De Bruyne?!

One of those games. AZ defended really well tbf to them, but they crossed the halfway line like twice in 90 minutes. Classic old-school italian win against an italian side in italy

Considering what exactly?

Yeah, I didnt watch, but the 2 AZ fans I know were afraid Napoli might reach double digids before the match.

Milan have not come out for this second half at all, this could be a really good last 15 minutes.

Typical Celtic give a great account of themselves but ultimately come up short..

Is this the Hauge bloke everyone is talking about then good composed finish from him.

Hoffenheim won, so all our teams in Europe bar Dortmund started with a point at least (4 w, 1 d, 1l). Good showing, only disappointing from Dortmund.

It's almost 6 years. KDB turned 29 a few months ago and Rooney turns 35 in a couple of days. But yeah, I always get surprised at how old KDB is, for some reason I always think of him as being about 24.

Sometimes I wish I supported a better team. Watching Feyenoord can be such a fecking chore.

We should just pay Zagreb off for the return like Lyon did a few years ago.

Meeeeelan still unbeaten in the post-covid. 17 wins 4 draws in all competitions(16-5 if you want to count Rio Ave as a draw). Only time they were outplayed was against atalanta, too.

Rangers are slowing bringing the coefficients up. 0.125 points away from the SPL having an automatic CL Spot

I wouldn't say we were outplayed against Atalanta.
The team was surprisingly good, considering that Theo, Romagnoli & Bennacer were out.
Kjaer had to play half-injured. Biglia was a corpse. Gabbia hadn't established himself yet. Laxalt was making his first start in a long, long time.
Calabria was only starting because Conti had injured himself.

Napoli is the only team that thoroughly outplayed Milan after the corona break.
The only excuse for that performance would be a horrible and out-of-position Paqueta that clearly messed up the team's winning pressing strategy and quick passing tempo.
The team immediately improved and ended Napoli's domination when Saelemaekers replaced him on the right flank.

So happy for my local team (Royal Antwerp FC)!

This was our first European game in 27 years and we won.

Our last game before this, believe it or not, was the final of the Cup Winners Cup in 1993, which I attended as a 9 year old in Wembley :)

From what I've seen Arsenal have been very lucky to get the 3 points. And the 3000 Rapid Vienna supporters made a bit of noise, it felt somehow good to finally watch a game with at least a little bit of atmosphere after such a long period.

You would have to think after the performance of Palacios, he would be a certainty to get into the starting lineup as one of the midfield 3. Issue is Aranguiz is undroppable given his importance while Demirbey has been good I think at the start.

@Zehner do you think Palacios will get more playing time?

Thrilled for Hauge. Ridiculous that we weren’t interested for £4m.

The most funny thing is that before the game vs AC Milan he was even way cheaper then 4m. AZ bought Evjen (who was a better player then Hauge) from the same club a year ago for about 2m. But the great performance from Hauge vs AC Milan got so much attention that Bodo Glimt knew it was time to cash in (4m is a huge ammount for a Norwegian club).
