Europa League 20/21

He could be a good fit. He’ll come there with a winning mentality
I was hesitant at first regarding him as a manager but if he comes in with some good experience behind him I’ll be good with it.

I don't like posting in your matchday thread, feel that is your team's game party thread so I will say this here.

I am somewhat surprised Ole is playing such a strong team including Bruno up 4 goals and with the Chelsea game coming. I guess your players do not need rest.

A Norwegian TV-journalist said Bruno wants to play "everything". Not sure if he should be considered a reliable source though.

They were due one. It was only about 5 minutes since their last one.

They're gonna set a record for amount of penalties in a season. They've had 5 or 6 penalties in the last 7 days alone. I suppose it's to be expected when you're managed by one of the biggest divers that British football has ever seen.
Or when, you know, your players are quick, strong 1v1 and get into the opposition box so regularly.

Young Boys shirts look like they're still wearing their training jerseys on top. Irritating.

Niklas Lomb, what a legend. Poor guy.
Wait

Is that the reserve keeper? Where on earth do teams find these keepers? I thought BVB with Bürki and Hitz playing dumb and dumber was enough

They have a third keeper in the squad, but it appears that Lomb is indeed their first backup. He's already made an unforced error against Augsburg in their last match.
Hitz made some costly mistakes, but as far as backup keepers go you can't expect much more than his level. He was one of the better midtable keepers while at Augsburg.

Both Bürki and Hitz were awesome at their former clubs (I remember an absolute monster performance for Freiburg against Bayern), still have been fatefully error prone for BVB.
Right, the Lomb guy made a huge mistake on the weekend already, I didn't see it but only read about it.

The xG in that hoffenheimer vs Molde tie must be hilarious

Guess Kramaric might have been missed

Wonder what molde's second goal was valued at because i've seen a model rate it .43 which suggests said model has some serious flaws

But yeah. Fbref has the first leg alone 1.6 vs 4.6. Considering the sheer number of shots hoffenheimer took today i'd guess something similar for this game as well. Football!

Fully deserved and doesn't flatter them at all Slavia Prague.

Think when the dust settles, this is probably not the worst result in the world for Leicester. More time to rest and try and finish top 4 this season

Behave.

Morelos got kicked tonight and went down about 5 strides later. Blatant cheating, or as it's known in Glasgow, doing a 'Gilardino'.

Infogol is valuing YB's goal at .53 as well and the player just had dip the ball that was bouncing on the goal line into the net. Not the first time I get the feeling that the models may undervalue the biggest of chances a bit.

Arsenal through, Leicester city out! Bet the English love that!

Up the gunners!

Think their issue is they don't take gk's position into account

Or doing an ‘Ajeti’

To be honest it looked pretty clear cut.

All German sides defeated except Bayern. The true farmers league.

We were totally abject tonight. We didn't deserve to win.

Surely you meant to say Hoffenheimerer. Otherwise you'd be talking about the people from Hoffenheim.

Nice to see Slavia Praha players celebrating with Tomas soucek on facetime on the pitch.

I don't fancy Leicester in any cup competition for some reason and I don't know why that is. Might be a blessing for your top 4 hopes though.

Stonewaller. He’s barely able to stay up with his first step onto his left foot.

Yeah do worry that Leicester being knocked out will really benefit their top four chances because will allow them a week between league games. The ideal draw tomorrow would definitely be Molde because of the Ole connection and really hope we can avoid Shakhtar & Kiev because of the long trips. Personally think the toughest draw would be Roma but happy to see Napoli put out as they can be a very awkward team in this competition.

I thought it was a stonewall penalty due to the initial contact. Can't argue with that. I also just think Morelos makes the conscious decision to throw himself to the deck ages after the initial contact.

Injuries I’m afraid have taken their toll. I’m very concerned about the league now.

It’s not just those out injured; Maddison, Fofana, Justin, Perez, Praet.

But the fact we have been trying to nurse back Vardy, Ndidi, Ricardo, Castagne, Soyuncu from injuries at the same time.
