I quite fancy Giroud to be top goal scorer. Might chuck a fiver on him.

Will he definately start? If its a front 3 it will be 3 from Payet/Martial/Griezman/Giroud/Coman. Was thinking they could go with Martial or Griezman down the middle
No, it'll definitely be Giroud up front.

Im all over Giroud as golden boot. Cracking odds for the main striker of the favourites. I really fancy an outsider to win it but not sure who is decent value.

Put very small stake to Portugal to win E/W.

Fastest goal scored in history (current record 68 seconds) YES @ 3.00
Fastest red card in history (current record 24th minute) YES @ 5.00
Gareth Bale top scorer for Wales YES @ 1.65

You can still get France at 4.3 on betfair.
I had £305 on them a while back at 4.7 so could cash out now at a massive £20.85 profit :)
Plan was to wait for them to cruise through the groups, get a nice easy last 16 tie and then think about laying some off. I do fancy them to go all the way though if they click, so may have to change that plan depending on how the first three games go.

Giroud is great value (at 17 on betfair) - so am going to lump a load on that as well. Have some money from a successful Mourinho to Utd bet that I haven't quite wasted all of it yet.........

Everything in Poland will go through Lewandowski so he could end up top scorer but 17 is too low. We will likely get maximum 5 games in the competition and could even be knocked out in groups.

I was going to stick a tenner on Iceland as my underdog but I'm thinking if they finish 3rd in their group which is likely, they would face either Spain or Germany if they win their respective groups. Don't envisage that big a shock in the tournament tbh.

Milner is at 3.00 to get included in England's first starting XI.

Accumulator of England win vs Russia, Germany win vs Ukraine, France win vs Romania - you can get all for 4.2.
Pretty good odds.

Fastest red card in history (current record 24th minute) YES @ 5.00

That´s great odds. 24 minutes is pretty late. Don´t understand how fastest goal under 68 seconds is much more likely.

Milner 3.0 to start is also very good. The Milner hate is out of control. He can play so many positions. He brings experience, had a great season for the club and adds a different dynamic to a different young England side.

Goetze at 41.0 top goalscorer. He will start as the false 9, he´s well rested and got something to prove. Actually most worrying about that bet imho that Germany won´t go deep enough.

Might not bet anything, just a small pool, but here's what jumped out at me from my site:

Portugal +2030, most goals

-Weak group with Iceland, Austria and Hungary. They have Ronaldo and lots of young talent who will have energy and a desire to keep scoring goals if they get ahead. Have won by big scores before (7-0 NK). If they win group will have winnable game against 2nd in Belgium-Italy-Ireland-Sweden group. If 2nd will have England-Wales-Russia-Slovakia 2nd place finisher. So very good chance they get enough games to be in for this.

Downside is that they might want to sit back a bit to protect a slow group of CBs if Pepe doesn't play and the very old guys do.

Spain -155, to win Group D

-Czechs, Turks are weak and Croatia is a worse version of Spain. Not a group of physical defensive types who can counter against the Spanish, apart from the Czechs and they don't have the talent. Turkey often lack discipline needed to do a job against a team like Spain.

Poland +350 to win group C

-Germans are in the group but look a bit dodgy personnel-wise at FB and CM with injuries/omissions. Poland has a strong team.

I like your squad. Why the pessimism?

De Bruyne @ 41/1 for top scorer looks good to me. He'll play as a 10. No reason he can't get 5 in 7 as they make the semis (there's a 3rd place game, right?). Might he take penalties?

This might explain the high odds. Six red cards in the last two editions and only two of those before half time.

I'll be putting a significant amount on the fastest red card anyway. Bigger tournament, lots of teams making their championship debuts (inexperience, nerves etc). 24 minutes * 51 games = 1224 minutes. That's over 20 hours for one moment of madness/daftness.

No, Hazard is on penalty duty and even if he's not on the field anymore, I'd think Lukaku will insist to take 'em.

Exactly. I mean for Ref´s sake Granit Xhaka is in it.

Not convincing last friendlies. Not that great recent form of some of our players (including Lewandowski). Injuries of two important players (Rybus and Grosicki). The core team looks good, but we lack depth when somebody is injured or out of form. What worries me most is that we lack a good second CB and a good LB(Rybus' injury).
Not that we can't have a good tournament. A core of Glik and Piszczek in defence, Krychowiak as DM and Lewandowski with Milik in attack makes the team capable of reaching quarterfinals.

But he (Lewandowski) will be also targeted by the whole defence of the opponent. I suppose it gives a nice chance to Milik to score some goals (like in the qualifiers) as a consequence of how much focus will be on Lewandowski (who on other hand may have some assists).

France to score in both halves at 5/4 v Romania seems alright to me. France HT result will be worth looking at in-play too. Fancy them to start strongly and win comfortably.

Put my free bonus on Belgium, decent odds for a talented young team with capable forwards. Also bet a unit on France to top the group.

I will be having a punt on Olivier Giroud @ 14/1 and Marc Janko @ 50/1

Lallana to not start vs Russia @ 1.33. What am I missing here? Surely this is free money? I mean why on earth would Adam fecking Lallana start?

Yeah, and some of the weaker teams should have real slow CBs (it's basically inconceivable that Hungary and Albania could have 2 quick CBs) so maybe you get a last man red card early as a result.

Where are odds on the starting team? Can't see anything on Betfair, SkyBet, Paddy or Bet365?
