Haaland, Sancho and Maddison wont leave much change out of 300 million if we were somehow able to obtain the 3 of them. Cant see that amount being available.
Totally agree but in this instance who would know these answers better than Ole himself? A legend of a striker who managed him. . This is what baffles me. If he was so great how the heck did Ole not just make him our first signing. On top of the fact he was getting rid of Sanchez and Lukaku. The only reason is that he doesn't think he is any good or that he doesn't fit.
Because he was sold to Salzburg in August 2018, while Ole was his coach there, and was allowed to finish the season for Molde and join Salzburg in January. He hasn’t been available since. We did scout him before he signed for RBS though, but where not among the bidders. He chose RBS over teams like Juve, who offered double salary, for a better developmentplan and more minutes. Seems now that wasn’t such a bad choice....Totally agree but in this instance who would know these answers better than Ole himself? A legend of a striker who managed him. . This is what baffles me. Agree. Not really seen enough of Halaand but Sancho looks a Hazard level talent. Hearing some negative stories about his attitude this year. But unless there's a real problem these can be overcome easily. If we have to spend 100m to get one of them, I’d rather spend it on Sancho.

Everyone would think he was mad and then pow now he would be seen as a genius.

Hazard is definitely a better footballer than Salah. And if Sancho has the right mentality he can suprass Salah in due course.I
I’ve been a fan of Sancho for two years, and watch 20-30 Dortmund matches every year. He has the potential to be the next great goal scoring winger. I’m pretty sure he won’t hit the heights of Salah, but certainly a Hazard-like career is in play, and he’s going to provide a lot of assists.
.
Does that £300M that you have estimated include the Pogba money?
Sancho vs. Haaland. Make a poll!
I know there is a lot of media chatter about Maddison, and I really rate him, along with Mason Mount. I do not, however, think we are not going to spend on a classic No. 10, but rather, look for another 6/8 type to compliment Fred McT and Pogba (if he stays).

Haaland, on the other hand, might be the next Zlatan. I don’t think that even a young Zlatan had his elite level pace. A month ago, I would have said Sancho, not close. But watching this kid play, he might be the most physically imposing presence on a football pitch that I’ve seen, just given the size and speed combination. He has the potential to score 35 a year for 10 years. If I sell Pogba (who wants to go anyway) can I buy both?
A word on Sancho. He will move this year, at the latest in the summer transfer window. I do believe that the Lucien Favre era is close to coming to an end. Defensively, they’ve looked very poor of late, and sacrificing Sancho to shore up defensively in the 35th minute is the kind of move that will get you fired. I was not impressed with his recent interviews where he was basically saying effort and work-rate were the most important qualities. May work in the Swiss league, but that will not bring a Bundesliga trophy. Too much quality and tactical nuance in that league. In order to grow, Sancho needs a more free-flowing system. I do think that we are the best landing spot for him for the following reasons:
1. He’s English. Branding-wise, best for him to be in England.
2. Man City is crowded in the winger dept. plus he left there to get firstteam football.
3. Tottenham won’t spend 120m on a single player. Also, a lot of wingers with Lamela, Son, Moura, Alli
4. Arsenal: who in their right mind would go to Arsenal now? Plus, they just spent 70m on Pepe.
5. Liverpool: if they hold onto Salah and Mane, not a lot of first team football. If one of those move to Real, then okay
6. Chelsea: this is a possibility. I do think that Willian will move on this summer. They also have Hudson Odoi though, and Pulisic, so not ideal.
We have Dan James and Rashford. In summary, the opportunities at Man United May be the greatest, commercially and playing-wise.
I’m hoping that somehow, we’ll get both. We do need midfield help, but most of our problems are goal scoring related. Behind Liverpool and Sheffield Utd, we are third in goals against, whereas in goals for, we are 9th, with 16, and 19 goals behind Man City with 35....
A news that came out yesterday btw is that Håland literally SLEEPS with his hat-trick balls. The guy is mental.

Norwegian newspaper says that "a credible and well-informed source" has said that United have made an offer for Haaland and also say It would be unnatural if Ole Gunnar Solskjær was not far ahead in the hunt for Erling Braut Haaland. Now, a source says he is..
But perhaps a Noggie can translate this article better than google translate.
That was a pretty good summary using Google translate. It’s actually quite unusual for Vg to be so brave using «credible and well-informed» about a football transfer. So it’s probably one of the former Norwegian players his father played with in the 90’s that now work in media or Solbakken (the agent).
Edit: Just noticed it was Dagbladet, but that doesn’t change the theory.
The chief sports (and most annoying one - based on his writing style) writer at one of the biggest newspapers behind this report. Hard to say if it's credible or not but Norwegian papers rarely do this. The Norwegian football community is small so he probably was fed info from Ole's best bud Jim Solbakken (who is the agent of Ole and 90% of Norwegian players).
Looks like it. Morten Pedersen, head of the sports section in Dagbladet, the second largest newspaper here, claims he has a credible source claiming Ole has told Haaland (or his team, no details there) that he want’s him at Manchester United and offered a deal.Thanks. So this is credible then.
R9If we get this guy, it will be like signing R9 in -96. He will become that big! #gamechanger.
When it comes to the Haaland vs. Martial debate: One of those two will make the CBs in the PL look like kids and bang in goals week in and week out for the next 15 years, the other one will be a squad option for a title challenging Man United.
No he didn’t. That’s a myth.Keane ended his father's playing career at City....
I think it is you that needs to fire up, sir.R9
I think people need to calm down a tad. From the little I've seen he seems to have a great instinct for goalscoring. Hopefully he has the all round game to match as well (if we sign him).

The comparison with R9 isn’t doing him any favours. For one, R9 had sublime technical abilities which, if Haaland does, I haven’t seen it yet (ability to basically take on a defence on his own). You can hype him up without comparing him to one of the greatest attackers to play the game.I think it is you that needs to fire up, sir.
He obviously has flaws, and that makes me even more excited. He is far from reaching his potential yet, and still you can compare his numbers, movement, positioning, speed and strength to anyone, and they will come up short. I haven't seen a 19 year old with this kind of endproduct before, I just haven't. I know the Austrian Bundeslige is only the 12 strongest in Europe, but no one has delivered these kind of numbers even in weaker leagues before either. Try to find an example from anywhere the last 50 years where a 19 year old has a goal or an assist every 39 minutes (including CL and domestic cup) in any top flight around the world. You can't! Add to that his frame and extreme pace.... Let's say it like this, he was born to piss on defenders in the PL.
There is no denying that R9 was on a different planet when it comes to technique, dribbling and ballcontroll. I'm 99.9% sure Haaland will never reach that level in those departments. It's the goalscoring, link-up, movement and physical-package I am so excited about. I really haven't seen the like before. He is so different from everything else we have seen, like R9 was when he entered the stage. R9 is the goat for me, so I wouldn't bring him up if I didn't see something really special in this kid.The comparison with R9 isn’t doing him any favours. I agree he’s special, but not R9 special as of yet. I hate to bring it up, but the Dutch league was much stronger in those days as well compared to the Austrian league now. There is no denying that R9 was on a different planet when it comes to technique, dribbling and ballcontroll. It remains to be seen how good he really is and how good he will become of course, but right now his numbers are comparable with anyones.I agree he’s special, but not R9 special as of yet. So we have Martial who is 23 and being the focal point in our attack and then we're trying to develop an 18 year old Greenwood who hardly gets game time even though he's our back up striker and then we want to sign a 19 year old. Like I said before no world class team has a bunch of youths as their first second and third choice as strikers. I'm still waiting for someone to name a team like that?
However if Ole does insist on getting Haaland I'm sure he would have had a plan for the three strikers because he is full of praise for the 3 of them
