What Ali has anything to do with Dier? Was great today, I hope he can kick on now and improve. Maybe Dele moving on would allow him to focus more.
Surprised if he had enough time to use bog roll
You didn't account for Mourinho doing the wiping...There's absolutely no way he washed his hands for the correct time.

Thought he was excellent tonight. Was a proper leader out there.
Lowkey this might be why Mourinho went along with Dier. You didn't account for Mourinho doing the wiping...
It was a performance that reeked of shit, until he came back from the toilet.Thought he was excellent tonight. Was a proper leader out there.

Yeah, there was definitely more substance to his performance.
He reminds me of Andreas Ottl at Bayern back then. A player who should never play for a top team nor in 1st devision.
No idea why I keep seeing him on the pitch in the starting squad. Any explanation other than Mourinho wants to get sacked?
I've barely watched Spurs under Jose, but from the little I've seen I've got the impression that Dier's enjoying the tutelage of Mourinho. Usually when a new manager arrives, you can expect a resurgence from certain players. Given the profile of the Portuguese manager, I suspected he'd appreciate the intrinsic tenacity from the likes of Alli, Lamela, Son and Dier. Thought he did a good job of recognizing the threat of Martial, and acting accordingly. Similarly against Chelsea, I think he did a decent job of marshalling the back line which would have presented its own challenges given the acqusition of Reguilón who was playing in your back four for the first time ... new teammates, different manager, different rhythm and context of it being a knockout game meant the Spaniard would have been eager to impress, and adapt to the rigors of English football. I could be mistaken but I think its possible that Dier's familiarity with Portuguese culture could potentially be useful in helping Reguilón settle.Thought he was excellent tonight. Just checked this guy because I could not remember him at all. What a fall for his career. So he stopped playing 7 years ago, only 28 years old. Surely a guy who had 140 caps for Bayern could at least play in the 2nd or 3rd division or was he THAT bad?
Me.Who would have thought Dier and Mourinho would be a match made in heaven

Also,we'll continue to see Dier in the starting 11's. Jose also loves players who act like they've been hard done by ie Fellaini.
Also has an air of cockiness around him where he thinks he’s better then he actually is. So glad we didn’t sign him ahead of matic all those years ago...Bad eh.
I don't see the hype from first few posts about him at CB at all, he's ponderous there.
When he first break through at Spurs he was effective enough in the DM position. Big problem in last 18 months is his accuracy of passing has massively declined, constantly gives the ball away move for some reason.

Thank christ Jose didn't manage to spend £50m on him. Imagine the state of our team if he got his way and signed the likes Willian, Dier and Perisic.
Worst CB in the top 10. Would honestly take Luiz over him.
He's been fortunate that Spurs have hired 2 dinosaur managers since Poch. He doesn't get anywhere near the starting lineup for a PL manager who wants to play a progressive front-foot style of football.Genuinely amazed he's lasted as long as he did at Spurs.
Wasn't playing that much towards end of Poch's spell. He left in November 2019 so pretty impressive he's still there nearly 4 years on.

Levy: I've got good news and bad news.Where would you like to be buried ?
Eric Dier " I'd like to have my ashes scattered in Tottenham Hotspur Stadium"

I'd forgotten we were linked to him back then. Yikes.
Phew, was wondering what in God's name I posted in an Eric Dier thread when I saw the alert!
