It is the same, mate. Just different (lower) level of the same shit. It’s not the same and you know it. Nice fish though.

Sounds like you’re just angry with capitalism on the whole to be honest. It is the same, mate. Just different (lower) level of the same shit.
Agree.2 mil is really too low. He is solid defender. Never fit though

In an ideal world I would agree. For me, we are n a summer window though where we need to spend a lot of money and really should be looking at making 7signings.....we wont do that, but in terms of balancing the book, gettign rid of the bottom of the barrel dead wood may be getting wages off the books, but it is dong as good as sod all towards helping a net spend this summer.
The likes of Henderson, Maguire, Mctominay, Fred etc etc.....they bring in decent fees. Seen several of the youtubers and there dream windows and msot of them seemed to think we could bring in over £150m from sales, which was a little unrealistic....but we arent even in double digits yet. As things stand its little more than last seasons moving out of contract players on.....we still have a squad where there are ear double digit numbers of players we should be moving on....its good we are movign on players and cant do it all in one window, but we really should be bringing in nearer three digit numbers of sales this summer

I think we paid the 80m upfront for Maguire, not sure there's any amortization.I kind of doubt Maguire will move, tbh. He's on the biggest wages and the least effective of those players. He signed a 6+1 contract with us and if it's amortized over 6 years then we need 80/6 * 2 = 26.66 million pounds to not make a loss for FFP. I really don't think we're going to see a bid like that.
Fred and Bailly are all the way through their initial contracts, so unless I'm wrong any fee we get for them will be pure profit from an FFP perspective, and so will any fees for Henderson and McTominay because they're from the academy. I don't know the market obviously but I think the club would do well to get about 65 million pounds in aggregate for those players. If we get enough it might give us enough FFP room and extra cash to buy Amrabat and get rid of Maguire at a bit of an FFP loss + sign his replacement at CB.
If I had to, I'd bet on Maguire sticking around and being the 2nd backup again this season then leaving next summer for free or a nominal fee.
Nah. Not really.TBH it's exactly the same.
Paying upfront does not matter. You can amortize over contract length, not when you make the paymentI think we paid the 80m upfront for Maguire, not sure there's any amortization.
That shouldn't matter, I believe. You can still amortize the transfer fee over a player's contract, even if you pay upfront.I think we paid the 80m upfront for Maguire, not sure there's any amortization.
I understand where you’re coming from, though I’m not sure I agree. It is the same, mate. Just different (lower) level of the same shit.
That is under thing where hypocrisy kicks in. People don't want him in club (because he is a cnut) but 50 mil would be nice for that cnut.I understand where you’re coming from, though I’m not sure I agree.
Do you also believe that United should forgo any sort of fee for a disgraced player on the grounds that it would be tainted?

I am not debating what is wrong and what is right. Just pointing on hypocrisy there. I declared myself pro Qatar over Sir Jim. That resulted with hating posts about morals and shit. From same people who "beg" Saudis to buy our players.
Bailly is no where near good enough to be compared to any defender that plays for a top team. He has never had the defensive ability or mental attributes to play at any level where making a mistake costs you the game.Antonio Rudiger is what Bailly could have been without the injuries. So good it's almost unfair, the lad has everything. He is better than Maguire, so i would have kept him as backup for Varane and Martinez and get rid of Maguire.
PS: You have to laugh, all the players Ronaldo used to moan and whine about are joining up with him again in Saudi
I wonder if you ever watched the games he played in when he first came in under Mourinho. What didn't help his United career is the obvious one, injuries. Barring the injuries Bailly would definitely had been a starter. He had better games than Maguire many a times. There is no universe where there is going to be worse player than Maguire as our centreback. As I said, I would have kept him and get rid Maguire.Bailly is no where near good enough to be compared to any defender that plays for a top team. I did, I’ve watched him do all kinds of mad shit like overhead clearances in his own box. He doesn’t have the ability to concentrate for a full 90 minutes. At some point he will venture up to the half way line with the ball as the last defender and try the most obvious step over you’re ever seen and lose possession. That has nothing to do with his injuries, he just isn’t cut out for this level where players are much quicker than he is and make decisions much quicker than he can. Maguire might be shit but he isn’t purposely shit.I wonder if you ever watched the games he played in when he first came in under Mourinho. So you've never seen Maguire try to beat an attacker as a last defender?I did, I’ve watched him do all kinds of mad shit like overhead clearances in his own box. He's the complete fecking opposite of a solid defender.
He's injured 90% of the time and when he is fit he could play well or he could be the worst player on the pitch. And even if he is playing well he could make a shocking mistake out of absolutely nowhere.
He's a total liability, any sort of transfer fee would be great.
If you meant about my post, i was talking about MG. Bailly is likeable and positive guy. Mad bastard on the pitch thoughWhy is he called a cnut?
Also getting money from Saudi is not the same as being owned by them or Qatar.
Maguire was our best defender for a full season after we signed him. There was a debate whether or not him or VVD was the best CB in the league, we were all super worried we wouldn’t win the Europa final without him when he was injured and missed the game, the same exact game Bailly played instead and did an overhead kick as a clearance that didn’t clear the box.So you've never seen Maguire try to beat an attacker as a last defender?
I agree that Bailly's concentration levels were suspect, but pound for pound was one of the better defenders during his time here. Injuries certainly prevented him holding down a regular place in the team.
Do you really think that Bailly is 'purposely s**t'. I find that a very strange statement indeed.
Maguire comfortably was a better defender and player for us than this lad ever was.
Bailly's best season (only good season tbf) was better than Maguire's best season.Maguire comfortably was a better defender and player for us than this lad ever was.

Weird that some players find cult followings based on a handful of good performances. He had a decent run here and there, just like Rojo. or Jones. Some tend to hang on to that.
