End of Gameweek 37 & 38!
We knew it was foregone conclusion a few weeks ago, and now it's been confirmed - winning by 16 points,
@aseru is our champion! Despite being so far out in front, he still put in two good scores and cemented his place at the top. Finishing as our leader, aseru's lowest position was 23rd during Gameweek 8, and although he lead 3 times before, he took the lead for the final time during Gameweek 21, and never looked like losing it; an incredible
18 week run! Although challenged a few times, he held off any and all threats posed with tremendously consistent scores, averaging
7.47 points per Gameweek. The highest score he got was 12 (Gameweeks 3 & 14) and his lowest score was 2 (Gameweek 8). Three times he was the highest score in a gameweek (Gameweek 9 -
11, Gameweek 14 -
12 & Gameweek 26 -
9) which just highlights how consistent his scores were; consistently high. A fantastic performer and worthy champion!
Some late drama for our runner-up spot;
@Randall Flagg has mugged
@nikineil on the last gameweek to get there! Finishing on 268 points, Randall hovered around 4th place for most of the season, blowing hot and cold. Throughout the season, this stopped him from really challenging the front runner but when he scored well, he scored really high. Getting the highest Gameweek score once (Gameweek 20 - 13), Randall averaged 7.05 points per gameweek. A strong ending - 32 points in the last 3 Gameweeks - sits

@nikineil ends up in joint 3rd. A disappointing end to a fantastic seasonal display, our virtually ever present top-10er lost "his" runner-up spot on the final gameweek. Nikineil ended up with 267 points, averaging 7.02 points per gameweek. He entered the top 10 at Gameweek 6 and was an ever present there for a record
32 Gameweeks. He lead for the first time in Gameweek 13, and wrestled for top spot with aseru, but couldn't stop the charge; staying in 2nd for 12 Gameweeks straight, before tapering off from Gameweek 34. He was a Highest Gameweek Scorer a joint record 3 times (Gameweek 4 -
11, Gameweek 23 -
10 & Gameweek 32 -
14) and his lowest score was 1 in Gameweek 21 - the week where everyone had a stinker. He also lead the table a record number of times -

@aseru, as he looked like the only one who could challenge him. A superb performance nonetheless.
Joining nikineil in joint 3rd is
@Raw. Raw was one of our early leaders (top in Gameweeks 2, 3 & 4) and was always sitting high in the table. Despite dropping out of the top 10 3 times, he quickly got himself back up there with good scores, averaging 7.02 points per gameweek. Getting the Highest Gameweek Score twice (Gameweek 33 -
14 & Gameweek 35 -
7) he was always around the leading pack, but an impressively late charge pushed him all the way up to joint 3rd place. Unfortunately, some disastrous periods prevented him from ever really challenging the front runners. His highest score was 14, which he achieved twice (Gameweek 2 and Gameweek 33) and his lowest score was 2 (Gameweek 6, 15 & 25), his lowest position being 22nd during Gameweek 26. An extremely strong competitor and worthy of a (joint) bronze award!

@eggwithsideburns took a while to break into the top 10 (once for a week in Gameweek 11 and then for the second and final time in Gameweek 22), once there, he stayed there right to the end. Although he was never a Gameweek Highest Scorer, his highest score was 12 in Gameweek 33; his lowest was 3 in Gameweek 21. 5th was the highest position he was able to muster, with 23rd being a personal lowpoint during Gameweek 8.
@Amethyst caught eggwithsideburns in the final Gameweek, scoring 13 to propel himself to a personal highest position of the season to finish in the top 5. He was once our Gameweek Highest Scorer (Gameweek 33 - 14) and entered the top 10 for the first time in Gameweek 29; his lowest score was a 1 in Gameweek 15! Loitering around 15th for most of the season an extremely strong end shot him high up the table; well deserved for pure perserverance. Great stuff by both, finishing on 258 points!

@Unitedlife ends in 9th on 248 points.
@Unitedlife entered our record books on Gameweek 22 when he predicted
9 correct results.
@tentan wraps our final top 10 with 247 points.
@tentan achieved a Highest Gameweek Score during Gameweek 5 scoring 15, with which he also correctly predicted 4 scores - a joint record!

I was hoping we would get one player correctly predicitng all results at least once this season, and although that didn't materialise,
@Santi_Mesut_Alexis_87 came damn close on the final gameweek, scoring 9 correct results - getting the scoreline the wrong way round in the Stoke vs West Ham game. This fantastic gameweek places him in our record books, with
9 correct results.

@DanNistelrooy, who achieved our highest gameweek score ever - gathering 16 points in Gameweek 31. This Gameweek also saw him predict 4 correct Score - a joint record. He also got 15 a few weeks later in Gameweek 36.

@Mitchell Nicholas, who rose the most in the table in any one Gameweek (GW10) - where they jumped up 22 places.
@Rossmufc10, who was our early pace setter and looked untouchable for a while. Even though he didn't participate in Gameweek 1, he lead for 7 weeks in a row (GW6 - GW12). His highest score was his first - a 15 on Gameweek 2, and was also our joint highest Correct Score predicted with 4. He also scored 12 twice in a row. Unfortunately, he hit some bad form and seemingly gave up.
@Reckless Full Back, who predicted 9 correct results in Gameweek 24, joining Unitedlife and Santi_Mesut_Alexis_87 in our record books.
@Momochiru, who predicted every game to end 1-0. An interesting strategy, that ultimately never worked out! His highest score was an 11 in Gameweek 22, where he was 19th. He stopped participating the following week.
@Mr. Ant, who was keeping pace with early leader Rossmufc10, before eventually overtaking him and leading for a few weeks, and looking back, with nikineil, the only player that could realistically challenge our winner. He stopped participating from Gameweek 25, where he was 6th.
@crimsonife, who was keeping pace with our leaders. Always in 4th or 5th, he was up there but a loss of form seemed to discourage him and he stopped participating. He finished playing when he was 10th in Gameweek 28.
A personal note - A HUGE thank you to everyone who played. Making this not only an enjoyable game to be in, but also extremely easy to run with minimal fuss. Hope you guys all had as much fun as I did!
