Went to the fight on Saturday - great atmosphere - shame it ended too early though.
Really enjoyed the Mitchell v Johanneson fight - it was a real good old fashioned scrap. Both fighters gave it their all.
The O2 is a great venue for boxing. Though it took an age to get a taxi home, especially as the Blackwall tunnel was closed.
As for Haye cleaning up at Heavyweight, im not too sure. He's going to have to put on about 20lbs and that may slow him down. We don’t know how he will adapt to fighting at the heavier weight. Look how quickly he cut on Saturday, he's got skin like paper round the eyes. I saw him cut before in another fight at York Hall. Heavyweights will open him up even easier. Plus, hes not got the chin that some of the big boys possess. Everyone says that the Heavyweight division is a joke right now, im not sure about that. True, there are no real entertainers and no personalities (probably because most of them are Russians), but it doesn’t mean that Haye will come in and clean up. They may be boring fighters, but these guys will still be hard to beat.
Haye did brilliantly to beat John Marc Mormeck, but he found it really tough. Mormeck put him down - a better/bigger fighter would have finished Haye then.
What Haye needs to do now get a good promoter, hopefully he will go with Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy promotions - they seem to be putting on all the good fights in the US right now. He should keep away from Warren and Don King.
Hopefully his promotion team will then get him the fight against the right opposition to allow his career to progress.
Anyway, well down Davie Haye - its going to be great watching him over the next few years.
