This is something I've noticed more and more recently; some people seem to be more worried about possible future changes in fortune than enjoying things in the moment.

I've just seen someone say they're not laughing at Arsenal and Chelsea tonight in case we lose tomorrow. Not quoting anyone as I'm not intending to have a go at individuals or anything, I just don't get it.

Rivalry is part of what makes football so great, these moments are meant to be enjoyed rather than being more worried about something going wrong later, give and take!

The other one I've seen a lot of is people refusing to get excited about Martial because there will inevitably be a drop off in form at some point.

Enjoy the moment, it's what we're watching for!

People are worried about the coefficients. Top 4 will soon be top 3 if this trend continues.

Not that I care though. We shouldn't be worrying about not making the top 3.

you have to be a real sour puss to not have a laugh at arsenal at least twice in a season, even if you have a result to wait on. Have a laugh its Arsenal, its why they exist

I'd agree. but at the same time I wouldn't want to get over excited at a good win or performance, or too disappointed by defeat. We have to enjoy the moment that we are in right now, the only serious negative has been the injury to Luke Shaw.

On the one hand, it's great to see our rivals stutter. On the other, it's generally negative for English football and how it may be perceived outside of our league. We need to be competitive in European competition if we are to attract the elite players, and we need the coefficients.

In terms of this weekend coming, it's got to be a good thing that Arsenal lost, and also played in a tough game and were pushing for a whole 90 minutes. Should give us confidence, especially so if we can win tomorrow.

Felt the same way about some of the posts in the top of the league thread. Nobody is saying we're going to win it all (even if they are, who gives a feck?) or that we don't have work to do but we are back to the top of the prem so let's enjoy it and be proud of our club.

Im definitely enjoying Piers Morgan tweets. Always a must after an Arsenal defeat

It is incredibly stupid IMHO to wanna wait to properly laugh at other clubs only if Man Utd wins its match. What kinda stupid logic is that ?

The match day thread is full of people worrying about coefficients ffs and wishing well on arsenal and Chelsea

Oh i'm going to enjoy this. First thing in the morning i'm headed onto Youtube to watch the meltdowns on Arsenalfantv, it's going to be extra sweet aswell following their last few weeks of positivity and "we're back in title contention!" jubilations. But that all pales in comparison to the meltdowns Mourinho regularly serves up whenever he starts feeling the pressure. Fun times indeed.

Fun times, as long as we do our business. Schadenfreude my friends. I'm sure the Gooners & Plastics will enjoy having our company if we fail tomorrow.

After the Moyeseeey era I'm using every available apportunity to take the piss. You never know what you've got 'til it's gone!

Rival teams losing a game only makes me happy if it directly affects my own team. Of course the Arsenal result makes me chuckle but I couldn't give two shits about their game tonight whether they won or lost it, if anything I'm worried the 4th place CL qualification for the Premier League is in danger. It makes me happy if other contenders lose points in the Premier League or go out in the domestic cups, but in the CL where it doesn't affect Liverpool in any way? Nah, not so much. I don't have any hatred feelings towards Arsenal, City, even United. The only team I always want to lose is Chelsea.

I find the feelings of hatred from foreign supporters towards other English teams quite odd - it feels a little bit artificiel, as if you're supposed to hate Liverpool just because you support United and vica versa, but it doesn't work for me that way.

Back then we even had people saying they didn't want to laugh at Liverpool because of how poor we were ourselves!

Agreed 100%. I laugh at Inter's feck ups even though Juve are so poor atm.

Today is a good feeling, another win to savor. We are back in the Champions League. Come from behind victory. Many chances created. Perreira gets minutes. Players are swapping roles and we still maintain quality.

The team continues to improve. It feels good.

They dont really make that hard though..their actions over the last 5 years even without going far back

Are you living in the moment if you are concerned about what others are doing, or do you need others to share your feeling to live 'in the moment'?

People are scared of the bantz coming their way because they've said a wrong online.
