Real gutsy win by the Kiwis, great start to the world cup. Our bowling was pretty decent except for our spinners suprisingly. Our top order was poor but today once again demonstrated our ability to chase and the strength of our tail. Styris was very good, (a relief to all Kiwis) and Oram is showing the world class batsman that he is.

tomorrow tho....funny story about Straussy. well, to me anyway. i had just spent the day diving off Anse Chastanet (swam with my first wild turtle
but i digress) and as i was drying off, i saw him hiring a mask and snorkel from the dive hut. i was too embarrassed to speak to him so while he went off into the water, i sloped back under my palm tree, cursing myself. after a while i took my wetsuit back to one of the freshwater troughs (they have along the shore to rinse your kit) to wring it out. next thing i know, Strauss is standing next to me, rinsing out his mask. i was completely taken aback and could only muster a, "Holy shit!" to which he laughed and the ice was broken!we had a lovely chat about snorkelling and the Canada game the day before. he was really sweet...but like you said, not very busy!
